Each month members are sent an electronic meeting notice with the options of attending or not attending. You must click the appropriate option for your reservation to be recorded. Responding to this newsletter does NOT make a reservation. If you miss responding to the emailed notice you may email Stephanie Steen. Also, let her know names of guests and any dietary restrictions. This must be done by NOON Wednesday prior to the meeting. Once you have made a reservation, to alter or cancel it, you MUST contact Stephanie prior to NOON the WEDNESDAY before the meeting. Laura Rudicel, director of marketing for OKANA, presented the January program about the soon to open hotel, resort, convention center, and inside/outside waterpark in Oklahoma City. The site also features retail and several cafes. The attraction is owned by the Chickasaw Nation and is located near the First Americans Museum at

I-40 and I-35.

2024-25 Non-Profits to Receive Grants

Members selected The Dragonfly Home and The Care Center to benefit from our annual Ladies in the News fundraiser after presentations were made by all four 2024-25 finalist grant recipients during our September meeting. Savannah Station and Hope for the Future were selected by members to receive grants generated by our smaller fundraisers. Help support these wonderful non-profits by supporting all our fundraisers during 2024-25.

WARNING!!!! BEWARE of scammers posing as President Sally Limber in emails. Several members have received these bogus emails. ALWAYS check the sender email address. If it's not Sally's just delete the entire email. Emails might appear to come from other members as well. Be cautious.

Ladies in the News April 11. Make reservations now.

Peppers Ranch Foster Care Community, our February Community Outreach recipient, seeks to break the cycle of child abuse and neglect through loving homes, counseling, and growth-oriented activities. By creating a network of caring foster parents and adult mentors on whom children can depend, Peppers Ranch is committed to providing a safe and secure environment where physical and emotional wounds can heal. They provide a community where like-minded families can live to provide the best in resources and supports for the foster children in their care.

Ladies in the News Chair Tania Smith reports Kacy Hays and Kristina Ojeda are her Co-Chairs for 2025 and will serve as Co-Chairs for 2026. Subcommittee Chairs are Reservations: Cathy Meyer, Anna Young, and Judy Reyes Henderson; Hostesses: Susan Townsend Robertson; Program Book: Elizabeth Rice; and Invoicing: Barbara Cox; Renewals: Pat Dean; Audio Visual and Public Relations: Ragan Franklin; Special Assistant: Donna Lamberti; Raffle Baskets: Mary Roberts and Debra Gullette. Former honoree Cherokee Ballard is Honorary Co-Chair. Clothiers are Nancy Farha's Clothing and Accessories and Krista Anne's Boutique. Bring large baskets to donate for the raffle to the February meeting. Did you win a raffle basket in April? Bring your empty basket to recycle into a lovely raffle basket for April 2025. LIN is Friday, April 11. Bring raffle donations to any monthly meeting. Sign up at the February meeting if soliciting from a business so duplications can be avoided.
