NCFRW – Thankful for the blessings of Liberty!

February 2025

From the desk of Kay Wildt, NCFRW President

"No dream is too big, no challenge too great, nothing we want for our future is beyond our reach." President Donald J. Trump

President Trump puts America FIRST!

President Trump promised to bring back Common Sense to our government and restore America. That is what we've seen in the flurry of his Executive Orders and in the choices he made for his Cabinet - decisions that harken back to the promises in America's founding documents.

The Preamble to the Constitution simply states what Americans expect of our government - Justice, Domestic Tranquility, Defense, General Well-Being and the Blessings of Liberty - and those are the things President Trump works to bring to all our citizens, no matter our origin, no matter our skin color.

The President's visit to western North Carolina and then to fire-ravaged California gave confirmation that his are not empty promises, but rather the way this Administration will operate. Inviting Franklin Graham to the Inauguration was an acknowledgement of the superb work that Samaritan's Purse continues to do for our people, and for that, we are grateful.

Reflection

"It Is Well with My Soul"

When peace like a river attendeth my way, When sorrows like sea billows roll, Whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say, It is well, it is well, with my soul,

It is well (it is well) With my soul (with my soul),

It is well, it is well with my soul. Hymn by Horatio Spafford and Philip Bliss 1876

Continue to pray for the safety of President Trump, his family and his Cabinet.

Help President Trump: Make your views known

Senators' Contact Information

President Trump was elected overwhelmingly, and he chose those whom he wants in his Cabinet. President Trump deserves to have the team that will implement his policies - policies that America wants too.

Right now confirmation hearings are being held, and in some cases - held up. There are still several candidates who have not yet been confirmed and are under attack by the Dems and some in our own party. You can have an important role in seeing that President Trump will have his choices confirmed.

It is almost impossible to contact our Senators in their D.C. offices, so below are the telephone numbers for their satellite offices, if you wish to call and make your views known and support President Trump. Your calls WILL make a difference.

NCFRW Supports Women Legislators

2025 Annual Opening Day Breakfast

Every year, NCFRW honors our NC Women Legislators in the NC Senate and House

at the breakfast the legislators hold on the morning that the NC General Assembly swears in its 170 members.

Martha Jenkins, NFRW 1st VP, Kay Wildt, NCFRW President, and Gay Dillard, VP Central Region, congratulated all the GOP women members. In the NC Senate, they are: Senators Dana Caudill Jones (D.31), Vickie Sawyer (D37), Amy Galey (D.25) and Lisa Barnes (D.11).

NC House members are: Representatives Jennifer Balkcom (D.117), Celeste Cairns (D. 13), Tricia Cotham (D.105), Julia Howard (D. 77), Erin Pare' (D.37), Heather Rhyne (D.97), Sarah Stevens (D.90), Diane Wheatley (D.25), Donna White (D.26).

It is shocking to realize that in the Senate, we have only four Republican Women while the Democrats have 12 members. The NC House is even worse where we are outnumbered nine Republicans to 25 Democrats.

Thank you to all our women (and men) legislators who give so much effort and devote significant time to bring commonsense solutions to our state's problems. We appreciate your sacrifices and those of your families.
