Keynote address, 2025 NYSEDC Annual Conference

IAED Attends NYSEDC Annual Meeting in Albany


IAED’s Heather McDaniel, Danielle Szabo, and Kellea Bauda joined over 400 attendees at the NYS Economic Development Council (NYSEDC) Annual Conference in Albany from February 10-12. The trio attended panels on local and regional business attraction strategies, IDA impacts, the NY SMART I-Corridor as a semiconductor hub, and broadband infrastructure. Heather has been a member of NYSEDC’s Board of Directors since 2019.


Rev Announces AgTech Prototyping Hardware Accelerator


Rev: Ithaca Startup Works announced the launch of a 10-week AgTech Prototyping Hardware Accelerator in advance of the 7th round of the Grow-NY food and agriculture competition (applications open March 1st). The novel Rev program will guide product teams as they determine if their ideas are commercially desirable, technologically feasible, and economically viable. Upon completion of the program, participants will be positioned to recruit team members, bring on partners, initiate work with contract manufacturers, and pitch to investors. Teams will also receive a stipend of up to $2,000 to advance their prototype.

FuzeHub Manufacturing Grants Deadline Extended to 3/11


The deadline to apply for the Jeff Lawrence Innovation Fund Manufacturing Grants for established companies has been extended to March 11th. The grants are designed to encourage collaboration between non-profits and established small- to medium-sized manufacturers in New York, and serve as a pathway to tech transfer, adoption and implementation of new processes, and enhanced products and services.

AMT “Business Finance for Everyone” Workshop on 3/20


Learn how to relate a manufacturer’s daily functions to its Profit & Loss statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement. Participants are grouped into teams to run one company each, competing against each other to complete “annual” financial statements and improve profitability.


  • When: Thursday, March 20th, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • Where: SUNY Broome Community College Campus, Binghamton, NY
  • Course Fee: $350 per person
