Thank you, Gary Kirkbride, FCPF Board Director

The Fairfax County Park Foundation (FCPF) Board of Directors elected Gary Kirkbride as a Director in 2016. Gary served as a valuable and respected member of FCPF Board through December 2024.

During that time, Gary helped attract support and partnerships to benefit our neighbors by enriching Fairfax County's 420 parks and outreach programs.

Gary's active participation helped FCPF, the fundraising arm for the Park Authority, to identify a brokerage firm partner. Three long-term investment accounts have been established to endow Fairfax County parks well into the future.

The FCPF Board is composed of volunteers to help attract support and develop partnerships to benefit our neighbors by enriching Fairfax County's 420 parks, improvement projects, and meaningful outreach programs.

The Park Foundation welcomes donations to help our neighbors in need access FCPA camps, classes, and outreach programs!

In Fairfax County, 62,861 people live in poverty and 14,164 of those are children. Many of these people live on less than $30,000 a year in the fifth wealthiest county in the United States. Unfortunately, enriching FCPA educational classes and programs are simply out of reach for them.

To help bridge that gap for individuals with limited financial means, those living in underrepresented areas, and people with intellectual and physical disabilities, FCPF continues to accept donations to support FCPA camps, class scholarships, and outreach programs that enrich, educate, and inspire your neighbors in need!

With your thoughtfulness, FCPF can fund impactful outreach programs and community events that provide equitable and inclusive access for our neighbors.

Every gift helps and contributions in any amount are welcome and appreciated! Generous donors of $500 or more will be listed on the Access to Camps, Classes & Equity Outreach Programs FCPF webpage.
