Symons Fire Protection is celebrating the recent graduates of its apprenticeship program. These six apprentices have worked tirelessly to gain the knowledge and expertise required to become journeyman fire sprinkler fitters. The first of 5 buildings on a Clairemont affordable apartment housing campus has been finished. The Paul Downey Senior Residence was named to honor our longtime president & CEO of Chelsea Development Corporation, who is retiring after 30 years of leadership and service to the community.

Streamline Development – Building Today for Living Tomorrow

Streamline Development Group, under the leadership of founder and president, John Allen and principal, Alek Diachenko, has taken new development in San Diego by storm. They currently have multiple projects underway in various stages of development and locations, including The Monroe (pictured). This 137-unit mid-rise community embodies everything Streamline strives for in their projects: community, character, innovation, sustainability, and quality. They are driven by the need for transformative housing that activates and inspires the neighborhoods in which they are built. The Monroe will offer homes for lease beginning in Summer 2025.

Sudberry Properties Announces the Opening of Luma at El Corazon in Oceanside

Sudberry Properties has announced the opening of Luma at El Corazon, an apartment community with 268 beautifully appointed units located at 3546 Village Commercial Dr., Oceanside. Luma is the first apartment community within El Corazon, which is home to Frontwave Arena and planned for approximately 400 acres of parks and civic uses. Leasing is underway, and the first residents have moved in.

Streamline Development Gets Greenlight in Clairemont

Streamline Development Group is excited to announce permit approval on their 38-unit multifamily development project, located on the prominent corner of Clairemont Drive and Clairemont Mesa Blvd. This community will offer both market-rate and affordable apartments for rent, featuring stainless steel appliances, in-unit washer/dryer, private balcony, and parking. Other amenities include a large podium courtyard, lounge, and roof deck. This new community will be a beautiful addition to the Clairemont neighborhood. Construction is anticipated to start in March 2025 and complete late-2026.

Rise Above the Noise: A Path to Success

The first SMC event of 2025 was a hit, with 44 people in attendance despite the rain and wind. The theme was Rise Above the Noise - A Path to Success, and was held at Christian Brothers Interiors, where attendees enjoyed networking time before featured speaker, Leslie Zann took center stage to present a fascinating look at how we can better navigate challenges ("noise") in our professional & personal lives. The program finished with Quarterly Awards, and raffle prizes. The raffle yielded $400 for BIA Cares!
