Crispy sheet pan gnocchi

Recipe of the Month:

Crispy Sheet Pan Gnocchi and Vegetables

Baking gnocchi makes it crispy on the outside and chewy/tender on the inside. Cherry/grape tomatoes are key as they create a little sauce when they pop. Otherwise, try other vegetables if you’d like and add a protein (beans, sausage, meatballs) to the pan for a complete one-pan meal. For more recipes, visit Cook Well Berkeley!

Group Cook-Alongs

We offer virtual cook-alongs and in-person cooking classes for departments, work groups, and staff organizations.

Our Approach to Nutrition

Navigating your well-being can feel overwhelming in a world filled with misleading advertising, restrictive diet culture, conflicting nutrition advice, misinformation, ever-changing guidelines, hype around weight loss medications, and social media influencers.

To cut through the noise, Be Well at Work Wellness Program promotes an evidence-based approach to nutrition by:

  • Championing Health in All Policies, recognizing that well-being is shaped by the environments in which we live and work
  • Providing weight-neutral workshops and programs designed to be welcoming and affirming for people of all body sizes
  • Engaging in the Body Diversity and Weight Inclusion Work Group to address weight stigma
  • Offering an “Ask the Dietitian” service to support staff and faculty with expert guidance

Our approach centers respect, inclusivity, and science—helping our community make informed choices without shame, stigma, or pressure to conform to diet culture. Learn more about our nutrition programs here.

Connections at Berkeley

March 16-23

Connections at Berkeley is a week-long, campus-wide invitation to pause, reconnect, and celebrate the power of Connection—to self, to each other, and to something bigger.

From March 16–23, the campus will come alive with shared experiences, large and small, that support all dimensions of well-being, belonging, and curiosity while strengthening compassion across the University. This initiative unites UC Berkeley’s departments, colleges, student groups, and programs around one transformative but straightforward goal: to make well-being visible, collective, and actionable.
