The following is adapted from other newsletters but the dates and degrees are updated for the present time. I know that those of you who follow classical Jyotisa may not consider Uranus, but hopefully you may be able to find some relevance in this post.
As I have said before, do not be fooled when a planet goes direct, since it will have already been hovering around that degree for a while, and it will take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks (depending on the planet) for that energy to start to move forward quickly. Uranus takes an even longer time to move forward and since its retrograde period is longer and slower than a faster moving planet, lasting for five months. Uranus, as we see above, only traveled four degrees in those five months.
Although Uranus moves technically direct on February 3, 2026, it has been hovering around Tropical. 27° Taurus 27'. Sidereal. 3° Taurus 19' with a one-degree orb between approximately December 25, 2025-March 20, 2026. It was first on that degree when it stationed retrograde August-September 2024, then it went direct throughout May 2025, and now it has come back for a final time, so if you have a planet, point, or angle close to that degree, think about what may have happened since September 2024 that might have signaled that a change was going to come. It does not mean you are in a high state of anxiety since then, but it means that change is on the horizon in August-September 2024, then it came to the surface again in May 2025, and now, between December 2025-March 2026, you should be moving on to something a bit different. Because retrograde and direct stations are points of power and intensity, often powerful events occur around the station in the world and in your personal life. Of course they are unpredictable due to the definition of Uranus, and they can be intensely wonderful, or intensely confusing, challenging, and devastating. things happen that are unexpected, powerful, and intense. Remember that keywords for Uranus also include inspiration, excitement, sudden occurrences, instability, independence, rebellions, and many more. Sometimes things happen that we were not expecting, and we are forced to make a move in an area of our lives. Sometimes it may be a change we have wanted to make for a while, but nothing happens until Uranus comes along and forces us to make that move.
In the world that means that unexpected intense events can occur and have occurred. Since December when Uranus slowed up and hovered around the degree where it is currently stationing direct, there have been so many violent episodes throughout the world. As Uranus moves closer to the stationary degree over the last few weeks, at least in the United States, we have been confronted with protests in Minneapolis resulting in two protesters being shot and killed. Now that Uranus is near the station, President Trump has also tried to defuse the situation by changing the leadership so let's see if this works. Uranus stationing direct should indicate a change in a forward direction.
The extreme weather conditions throughout the United States resulting in snowstorms and bitter cold in areas that usually do not experience this are also an indication that Uranus heralds meteorological changes, and often times even more dramatic events, like earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, typhoons, etc. so I would not be surprised if this should occur within the next few weeks, but even towards the middle of March since Uranus is still within orb of its stationary direct degree.
Keep looking around and do not be surprised as to what comes next. The month of February and first half of March will bring wild events. Of course, this corresponds with eclipse season between February 17-March 3, and Mercury retrograde on February 26, with its shadow or retrograde arc period starting on February 11. It really has been a long transit, so goodbye to Uranus after it moves past the stationary direct degree in mid-March.
