OUR MISSION is to Serve and Equip our Churches to Fulfill the Great Commission

Since it is February and Valentine’s Day is the big event this month and because of Hallmark, everyone seems to be thinking about love, I thought I would share my favorite verse about love.

Romans 5:8: But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

How awesome is this? While we were still sinners, Christ went to the cross for us paying a penalty for sin that we could not pay and suffering a cruel, agonizing death so that we could have a relationship with God the Father. This kind of love should compel us to love others.

1 John 4:19: We love Him because He first loved us.

So how can we share His love this month?

We can share His love by participating in the Souper Bowl Food Drive for our SYBA Food Pantry, where those who receive physical food are also given spiritual food. We can share God’s love by bringing baked goods to our neighbors, clearing their sidewalks, or simply checking in on them. We can show love by inviting family, friends, and neighbors to church or having them over for dinner.

Most people don’t care what you know until they know that you care. So let’s show love to your family and friends and share Jesus with them.

And remember to bathe everything in prayer. Start by praying for your family, friends, and neighbors asking God to soften their hearts and then share Jesus with them by speaking the truth in love.

God loves you and so do we at the SYBA!

Grace and peace,

Noel
