January 2026

From the Executive Director

Dear Independence Alliance Supporters,

With my article this month I am pleased to introduce our new Independence Alliance website!

One of the goals of our 2025-2027 Strategic Plan is to expand our outreach by engaging with the community. Our investment in designing this new website has produced a modern, high-performing digital asset that meets accessibility standards including:

·     Improved screen‑reader compatibility for smoother navigation

·     High‑contrast display options for better visibility

·     Keyboard‑friendly navigation across the entire site

·     Clearer layouts and simplified menus to reduce cognitive load

·     Accessible, user-friendly format

·     Spanish translation

Our new website ensures that users have a better experience when visiting our site. I am pleased with the design of our new website and how it will engage the community. I invite you to have a look by clicking here.

Thank you for your ongoing support of our mission to empower people with disabilities to lead independent and inclusive lives in the community.

Rob
