NCFRW – Celebrating America's 250th Birthday all year long!

February 2026

From Erica Vedeikis, NCFRW President

For The Love Of It All

February is a month filled with reminders of both love of country and love of community.

As we celebrate Valentine’s Day, let us recommit ourselves to the principles we hold dear and the future we want to protect for our families. Presidents’ Day also gives us an opportunity to reflect on strong leadership and the responsibility each generation has to preserve our Republic.

Early Voting for the Primary begins February 12 and runs through February 28, with Primary Election Day on March 3. I hope you have enjoyed getting to know your state and local candidates and are ready to make your voice heard. Please remember to bring your family, friends, and neighbors with you to the polls—every vote matters.

This is an important Midterm election, and the work we do now determines how strong and prepared our November ballot will be. Let’s stay engaged, stay informed, and make sure we are ready for the battles ahead.

Reflection by Margaux Holland, Chaplain

A stone of remembrance is called an Ebenezer stone. Didn’t your mind just race to Ebenezer Scrooge in Charles Dickens, The Christmas Carol? Today this is how we know this name but biblically, Ebenezer stones were created by God’s direction and Prophet’s worship as places of where God did mighty things in the deliverance of the Hebrew people, 1 Samuel 7:12 & Joshua 4:20.

Executive Board Openings

With the passage of the Bylaw amendments on Saturday, January 31, 2026, NCFRW has officially moved to a seven-region map. As a result, we are seeking qualified candidates to serve as Regional Vice Presidents for:

• Region 1 – Western Mountain Region

• Region 6 – Northeast Region

Regional VPs must be a member in good standing with their local NCFRW Club and reside within the Region they will represent.

The duties of a Regional Vice President, as outlined in the NCFRW Bylaws, include:

  • Serve as a liaison between the Local Clubs in her region and the Board of Directors;
  • Act for the President when requested;
  • Promote the expansion of clubs in areas assigned by the President with the consent of the Board of Directors;
  • Preside at one regional meeting per year (in person or electronically) for the benefit of officers and members within the region. Regional meetings should be self-supporting through reasonable registration fees; however, the Executive Board may provide NCFRW funds for securing appropriate locations and arrangements. All registration income reverts to NCFRW;
  • Recommend up to four Area Representatives for her region to the Executive Committee for approval;
  • Maintain open communication within the region with county NCGOP organizations and assist the work of the Party as able;
  • Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the President.

If you are interested in serving in one of these roles, please email President Erica Vedeikis at thencfrw@gmail.com.

Please include a brief resume and a short statement explaining why you would like to serve.

All expressions of interest must be received no later than February 21, 2026. Nominees will be announced, and a Special Board of Directors Zoom call will be held for the express purpose of voting on these two positions on March 8, 2026.

Your Club and Your Bylaws

Your Club Bylaws are Everyone's Bylaws

Every member plays a vital role in keeping our clubs strong, and that begins with understanding your club’s bylaws. These rules aren’t just for officers—they guide how we conduct business, make decisions, and protect fairness within our organization.

I encourage every member to take a few minutes between now and your January club meeting to refresh yourself with your bylaws. An informed membership strengthens our clubs, supports our leaders, and ensures we are all working together with clarity and purpose.
