January 2026 Highlights

BxCM launches Cooking by The Book

On Saturday, January 10th, we launched our high-energy Cooking By The Book program perfectly blending literacy with hands-on culinary science. Families gathered for two interactive sessions to explore the delicious "movement" of cooking, stirring up community connections while discovering how storytelling and science come together in the kitchen. The event offered a joyful, active environment where children could mix, create, and learn, making it an instant hit for guests. Join us for our next session February 28th.

BxCM Hosts New York City Museum Educators Roundtable

Last month, we welcomed the New York City Museum Educators Roundtable (NYCMER) Early Childhood Peer Group for a professional development session titled "The Magic of Childhood". City-wide educators explored the Museum's intentional STEAM and role-play designs, focusing specifically on how the Toddler Time initiative transforms the Museum into a collaborative classroom for children and caregivers. This exchange provided NYCMER members—a community of museum professionals—a vital platform to share pedagogical insights and strengthen family-centered programming across New York City.
