Closing out the year, our patients enjoyed a special visit from professional soccer player Max Arfsten, who brought lots of smiles and excitement. Max took the time to visit the Craycroft oncology unit at Valley Children’s Hospital, where he handed out toys and soccer balls to patients and visited with the families.

During his visit here, patients had the chance to talk with Max about his journey from growing up locally to competing at the professional level. As a member of the U.S. Men’s National Soccer Team, he continues to show that giving back to the community is a reflection of the heart he brings to the game and those he inspires.

We extend our sincere thanks to Max for spending the day with us and we look forward to cheering him on throughout the season!

February 17th marks the start of the Lunar New Year, welcoming the Year of the Horse. This Lunar New Year emphasizes energy and independence, inviting personal growth and bold action.

That same spirit of action was reflected throughout 2025, when Panda Express raised more than $413,000 for Valley Children’s Hospital with the incredible support of associates and guests. Their generosity benefits the Panda Cares Center of Hope, which supports programs and initiatives through Child Life Services, social work, rehabilitation and spiritual care, ensuring every child receives compassionate, holistic care.

As we celebrate the Year of the Horse, it is a perfect moment to make a difference in our communities. Visit your local Panda Express, enjoy a delicious meal and consider donating to support children’s health. Thank you to Panda Express for its continued commitment, and warm wishes to all for a transformative and uplifting year ahead.

The Clovis Rodeo’s 9th Annual Kids, Cowboys & Clays fundraiser proved to be an outstanding success, generating $32,000 in support of Valley Children’s Hospital. The event brought together community members for a day filled with purpose and generosity. Attendees enjoyed an exciting sporting clay tournament and lively auctions, creating a festive and impactful atmosphere.

Funds raised through this event directly support Valley Children’s mission to provide world-class care to kids across the Central Valley. We truly appreciate the Clovis Rodeo Association members, sponsors and event participants. This remarkable achievement is a testament to their ongoing dedication and hard work.

Each year, a remarkable group of young musicians known as The Heart of Cubs reminds our community what generosity truly looks like. This season, they once again gathered on the festive Candy Cane Lane in Clovis to share music through their string orchestra and raise funds for Valley Children’s Hospital.

Their efforts resulted in an impressive $3,500 donation, continuing a tradition they began in 2017. Over the years, these dedicated kids have raised thousands of dollars to help children receiving care across the Central Valley.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to The Heart of Cubs, their families, and every community member who contributes to this annual tradition.

St. John’s Festa continues to be a cherished three-day annual tradition, drawing visitors from across the region to celebrate community, culture and generosity. Attendees enjoy authentic Portuguese sopas and a variety of homemade dishes, all while supporting Valley Children’s through the Festa’s longstanding commitment to philanthropy.

This year, St. John’s Festa contributed an impressive $30,000 to benefit Valley Children’s. Since 2000, the organization has donated more than $253,000, making a profound and lasting difference in the lives of the children and families we serve. Their continued dedication exemplifies the power of community coming together for a shared purpose, and we are deeply grateful for their partnership.

Valley Children’s is grateful to Sport Clips for their generous support during this year’s Focus Week, which raised more than $2,500 to benefit the Willson Heart Center. This contribution directly supports our mission to provide exceptional care for the children and families who depend on us during some of their most challenging moments.

We extend our sincere thanks to the Sport Clips team and their customers for helping make a meaningful difference in our community. Their commitment to giving back continues to strengthen the care we provide and the lives we touch.

Valley Children’s extends its sincere appreciation to The Pines Resort at Bass Lake for their remarkable generosity and continued commitment to our mission. This year marked the Resort’s 33rd Annual Bass Lake Christmas Tree Lighting and Parade of Lights, a cherished holiday tradition that brought joy to the community. Through their opportunity drawing, they raised more than $2,500 in support of George’s Pass, a program designed to enhance the hospital experience for children with autism.

We are so grateful to The Pines Resort and to everyone who joined in making this event a success. Your support helps us continue making a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.
