In a garden lush with morning sun,
Many flowers bloom, not just one.
Colors vivid, petal and stem,
Each unique yet tied to them.
Psi Iota Xi, our gentle ground,
Nurtures sisters, love profound.
Roses, daisies, tulips bright,
Altogether, hearts unite.
Petals twirl and giggles grow,
Sisters skipping row by row.
Sunhats crooked, jokes in bloom,
Friendship sparkles, chases gloom.
We dance in rain or sunny weather,
Side by side, we laugh together.
Some wear stripes and some wear dots,
All belong—no matter what!
From silly songs to secret handshakes,
We cherish all the joy it takes.
Our garden thrives on each new face,
A happy, wild, and wondrous place!

Future Planning Survey Results
The Future Planning Committee wishes to share the results of the recent online survey. Although we would have liked to receive a greater number of responses, we are pleased with the participation received and grateful to everyone who contributed.
Below, are the results of your feedback as organized by the questions included in the survey. The results of this survey will help guide Psi Iota Xi as we plan future years. Please take time to review the results with your chapter and reach out to me if you have any questions.

In last month’s newsletter I stated in my article that I would be offering times for Zoom sessions to walk chapter Treasurers through the data entry process of the PCR. What was I thinking?! Scheduling that would have been a nightmare!
So, we have a change in plans. I have recorded a step-by-step video to hopefully answer questions that might come up as a Treasurer works through the PCR. Hopefully it will keep our Treasurers from pulling their hair out.
Click here for a link to the video.
The video can be downloaded onto your computer so that you can reference it as you work through your chapter’s PCR. If you’re not a chapter Treasurer, but are curious as to what the PCR entails, feel free to watch the video too.
As always, we’re in this together, so if you have any questions as you work through your PCR, don’t hesitate to contact your District Officer. We’re here to help!
Loyally,
Mona Knight
National Treasurer

The Importance of Keeping Your Chapter's Membership Records Up to Date
Why Membership Records Matter
Maintaining accurate membership records is essential for every chapter. The responsibility for this important task is typically assigned to the Vice President, highlighting its significance within the organization. One of the primary motivations for National Council to keep records current was to ensure the website reflected accurate information and to safeguard members' data. But, due to privacy concerns, personal contact details are no longer displayed on the website, further emphasizing the need for chapters to manage their own records diligently.
Benefits for Your Chapter
While national data accuracy is important, there are even greater advantages for your individual chapter. Up-to-date contact information allows chapters to connect with inactive members for fundraising events, such as selling flowers, cheeseballs, or other goodies. Often, inactive members may be interested in supporting these efforts if they are aware of them. Accurate records make it easier to reach out to these individuals, potentially creating new customers and possibly re-engaging them as active members in the future.
Reconnecting with Inactive Members
Many members become inactive due to busy life circumstances, such as job changes or family commitments. However, these situations often change over time, and maintaining current records makes it easier to invite former members to participate once they are ready. By keeping membership information up to date, chapters effectively have a membership event and a fundraiser readily available at their fingertips.
Lasting Connections
Remember, "Once a Psi Ote, always a Psi Ote." Keeping membership records current not only benefits your chapter’s activities but also helps maintain lasting relationships within the organization.

Happy February! I hope when you all read this that the bitter cold has subsided and we are inching closer to Spring! I'm hopeful that the groundhog doesn't see his shadow. I don't know about you, but I sure am ready for spring.
Anyone who knows me knows how much I love sports. I could talk about or watch sports all day long. As a lifelong Indiana fan and alumna, this fall/winter football season has been more fun than ever before. At the same time, watching the Hoosiers go undefeated this season and seeing the player interviews after I couldn't help but think of our sorority. A team that was never taken seriously was consistently told it was a fluke. Against all odds, they persevered and overcame the doubters. Our sorority is kind of the same, we have had people doubt us, tell us we couldn't achieve a goal, and we have shown them and everyone else in our communities how much we can overcome.
I know the last few years have been extremely difficult for some chapters. Your numbers have gone down, and you aren't raising the funds like years previously. You feel like it isn't worth the effort, but like the IU football team, you rose to the challenge and proved to not only yourself but everyone else that even small, you are mighty. I don't have any particular chapters in mind this month, I have seen so many doing such great work and helping those less fortunate about us. Keep up the good work (and Hoo Hoo Hoo, Hoosiers!)

Hello Psi Iota Xi Sisters,
I hope everyone is staying safe and warm. I wanted to share a brief update on the availability of student symphony tickets. There are still many concert performances scheduled throughout the spring.
All tickets for the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra have now been claimed. There are currently 12 tickets remaining for the South Bend Symphony Orchestra performances. The Muncie and Evansville Symphony Orchestra performances still have a generous number of tickets available.
If you know a teacher or home‑school group that may be interested in any of the remaining tickets, please feel free to contact me at valhelms@gmail.com.
Sincerely,
Valerie Helms-Mejia

Have you ever wished you could invite all Psi Ote sisters to your chapter's fundraiser or special event?
If you are planning an event or fundraiser (in person or virtual) and would like to share your invitation with Psi Ote Sisters from other chapters, let us know. The newsletter is great way to reach many sisters and hopefully increase your attendance or sales!
Electronic money transfer apps like Zeffy and Venmo plus virtual platforms like Facebook Live make it possible for even our most distant sisters to participate in another chapter's fundraisers with ease. You can support your sisters across the organization, and you might even get a few ideas for your own chapter!
Advertising in the newsletter is easy, just email JanePatton@PsiIotaXi.org and she will do the rest.

Beta Tau, Frankfort, IN
President, Stacy Gephart, organized a social to a Summer Place in Sharpsville, IN in December. Just carpooling over was fun. It was sisterhood at its best, all squeezed into cars together, up close and personal. We began the evening with dinner at the diner, a classic meal of hamburgers, French fries, sodas, and banana splits for dessert. The diner was outfitted with memorabilia from several decades. After dinner, we stepped across to the theater to watch White Christmas complete with popcorn. The theater was also filled with old bicycles, pictures, signs and a wide array of items from the past. It was a great way to begin the holiday season.

Milroy Zeta Tau chapter has been hard at work preparing birthday celebration boxes in memory of Suzy Mann.
Suzy was a beloved Psi Ote Sister who sadly lost her fight with cancer in October. Given her heavy involvement with our local food pantry, we felt this was a fitting way to honor her legacy and continued dedication to our community.
