2025 IMPACT MEASUREMENT

REPORTING WINDOW NOW OPEN

The 2025 Impact Measurement reporting window is now open. SERI's annual R2 Impact Report showcases the environmental and social impact of R2 Certified Facilities, providing insights into our industry's sustainability practices and highlighting efforts that often go unrecognized.

SERI LICENSE AGREEMENT FOR R2 CERTIFICATION 

LICENSE FEE UPDATES NOW IN EFFECT 

The annual SERI license fee is $2,500 USD per facility for all new invoices and renewal invoices due April 1, 2026, or after.  A reminder that the $150 USD non-refundable application fee is now in effect for all License Applications submitted. Please also note that SERI no longer accepts mailed checks as payment.

ei STANDARD

PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD CLOSES FEB. 9 

The draft Electronics Impact (ei) Standard is open for public comment through February 9, 2026. This is your opportunity to participate in the standards development process and shape how electronics impact data gets measured across the value chain. Review the draft and submit your feedback before the deadline.

R2 CONTINUING EDUCATION FOR AUDITORS & CONSULTANTS 

2026 REGISTRATION NOW OPEN  

Registration is now open for 2026 R2 Continuing Education Training. This training is mandatory for R2 Auditors, certification body personnel as specified in the R2 Code of Practices, and consultants who wish to maintain their listing in SERI's Consultant Directory. The $200 annual fee covers access to all CE modules released in 2026, with the first module available soon.

REMINDER

UPCOMING AUDITOR FOCUS ON APPENDIX A(6)

R2 Facilities are advised to review their conformance with Appendix A(6), which requires verification that all R2‑Controlled Streams are received at the next Downstream Vendor (DSV) facility. This means each transaction must have corresponding evidence of receipt. Auditors will begin looking at this more closely in the coming weeks.
