"Inspiring students to love God, their Catholic faith and learning"
From the Office
Due to the impending weather and using all of our snow days allotted, St Peter will utilize Alternative Methods of Instruction (AMI) plans for short-term school closures, should it become necessary. If we have a short-term closure, families will receive communication from the school informing them we will implement the AMI plan.

On AMI days, campus facilities will be closed. All students will be learning remotely on these days. Students will not physically attend classes on an AMI day.
AMI days will apply for students with or without internet access. Staff members have constructed lessons and assignments for students who have internet capabilities and also for those who do not have access. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this please contact your child's teacher.
The school will not need to make these days up in the school calendar. Students will be accountable for completing the assigned work on these days.

Staff Availability: Teachers will be available each AMI day to answer any questions that parents and students might have from 8:00-3:00. Please email the teacher if you have any questions. All staff emails are available on the website.

Attendance: Students in self-contained classrooms will be required to complete tasks in Religion, Language Arts/Reading, and Math. Junior High students will have an assignment in each class, except specials. To earn full attendance for the day, students must complete all tasks in the AMI daily packet/google classroom. These assignments must be turned in within the first 2 days upon returning to school from an AMI day. Late work will not be accepted after the 2 days.

Instructional Content: Teachers have developed lessons that are relevant to the content covered in their classes. The content in the elementary AMI packets will not present new instruction, it will be extensions and review of content that students already have background knowledge from the class. Prior to the day off, work will either be sent home, posted online, or a combination of the two depending on the grade level. AMI days will cover all classes in Junior High. Self-contained classes will have Religion, Language Arts/Reading, and Math content.
