CEO 3

  • We are just a few short days away from the end of February and we all know what that means - BRING ON MARCH MADNESS!! In addition to the basketball hoopla, March is in the top 2 months for EdTech events! We have 3 large regional events as you can see below, 3 regional meet up events, and 2 larger events that NYSCATE is supporting behind the scenes. The days are getting longer, we are holding out hope that the sun will melt that snow away and we will see all of you at a face-to-face event in the crazy month of March!

  • This will come as no surprise to anyone, but I LOVE NYSCATE! My work started as a conference committee member in 1989, which led to being a board member, officer and eventually becoming CEO/Executive Director in 2009. Why is this important? Because I know many of YOU love NYSCATE as well and this is your opportunity to join our amazing team! The application for the 2026-27 Board of Directors is now open! We have 5 open positions and 1 Corporate Council seat on the board with terms starting on July 1. Applications are being accepted until March 15. This is an amazing opportunity and if you are looking for a sign to throw your name into the ring - this is it!

  • Many have asked about conference hotels at Turning Stone. I am so excited to share that the Crescent Hotel - the brand new hotel on property, will be officially opening at the end of June. When we release the site for the hotel block (coming very soon, so stay tuned!) you will see the Crescent listed as an option, along with the Brooke, Tower, Lodge, Inn and Sandstone. Please do not delay if you want to stay onsite. We expect another sellout and love having our NYSCATE family together onsite!
