"The Evidence Is In"
Worship with us on Zoom!

Rev. Dr. Victoria Weinstein, Preacher
Suzanne Forgione, Speaker
Jim Olivetti, Coffee Hour Spotlight
There is a common belief that in times of terrible crisis, people panic in the streets and fall into anarchy and destructive behaviors. The facts tell a different story. Today we celebrate and envision the partnerships that make our communities and our world more whole.

Lenten Meditation Series
Wednesday evenings, 7-8pm

North Shore Unitarian Universalists
Facilitators: Rev. Eva Cameron
Rev. Elizabeth Ide
Rev. Art McDonald
Rev. Dr. Victoria Weinstein

Our time together will be focused on a Scripture reading, a contemporary reading, sharing and silent reflection.

The Zoom link and ID information can be found below.
Lent is the forty day period leading to Easter that is traditionally dedicated to prayer, self-reflection, penitence and self-denial. In this time of pandemic, when we are already denied so much, I think it is important for those who observe Lenten spiritual practice to find a practice that is life-giving and deep, not self-flagellating!
I will be participating in an online 7-week Sunday night Lenten Journey through Rolling Ridge Retreat Center in North Andover (our central text will be Henri Nouwen's Lenten manual, "Show Me The Way") and also co-leading weekly Lenten meditations on Wednesdays with a group of UU ministers who are also friends.
I hope that you will consider joining our UU Lenten Meditations, and if not, consider this difficult season an invitation to reflect on your belovedness. We tend to be very good at critical self-reflection. What if, for forty days, we considered our actions, thought and struggles in the context of the Universalist assurance that we are always, always loved as we are? As we approach the year anniversary of the pandemic, please recognize how tired and in need of daily doses of quiet openness to God's love you may be. However you do this, I hope that you will do it.
In faith, hope and love,
Rev. Vicki

Reopening Guidelines Update
Church Use Request Procedure

While we are still not holding regular services or meetings at the church, we have had some requests for one-time events. The governance committee will review any requests and grant approval for use of the church building and grounds. To request use of church property for an event, please email the details (date, presenters' contact information and a full description of the event) to president@uucgl.org. Events need to comply with current state and local guidelines (masks, number of participants, socially distanced) and all organizers need to submit to Elizabeth Muller a list of contact information for all attendees the day after the event for possible contact tracing. For further questions feel free to contact me, Eileen Cummings: president@uucgl.org.

Our Church Community Supports
My Brother's Table!

Food insecurity is on the rise due to the economic crisis caused by the pandemic. My Brother’s Table is serving more meals than ever with fewer on-site volunteers. All meals are to go, and hours have been extended to accommodate precautions. MBT’s response to these challenges is to create a network of volunteers who work from their homes. These off-site volunteers assemble lunch and dinner bags to supplement the hot foods that MBT prepares and serves every day. A network of UUCGL members is doing this work from home! More than 15 of our members work either individually or in teams to put together lunch and dinner bags in 25 bag units and deliver them to MBT. If you are interested in learning more about our efforts, click here. Please contact Social Justice Ministry Team Members Clare Campbell, Michael Celona or Deb Boggs for details.

Lynn Community Health Center
Community Food Pantry

The Lynn Community Health Center operates a community food pantry on the first Saturday of the month from 8-10:30AM. It takes place outside in a parking lot near the Health Center in downtown Lynn and abides by Covid restrictions around masks, gloves, distancing, etc. Volunteers help fill 400 bags with fresh fruits and vegetables, which are handed out by Center staff. Pre-teens and older kids are welcome! Sign up to volunteer at: LCHC Mobile Market Volunteers: Mobile Market 2021 (signupgenius.com). Questions? Email Michael Celona at michaelcelona@yahoo.com.

Drive by the church and see our new sign – Black Lives Matter – we sourced from a Black owned business in Roxbury, it took awhile to get here, but it was worth the wait. We will have a dedication later in the spring. This photo was taken during the food drive – it was a pop the trunk affair, but many of us pulled over to say a socially distanced –
How are you? Good to SEE you!
