Your News & Updates from the Office of Community Engagement and Constituent Services (CECS)
Dear Community Leaders and Members of District 5,

Welcome to February! I hope you had a great weekend, enjoyed the Super Bowl, and are ready for the week to come!

Thank you to all who came out to one of the County Executive's seven Budget Town Halls.Deciding what to include in the county budget is not easy, but knowing what our communities need helps ensure the County Executive and the County Council know they're making the right decisions for our county. If work, weather, traffic, or anything else prevented you from attending one of the budget town halls and you have a budget request you would like to share, please email us at [email protected]. We are compiling all budget comments/requests for the County Executive's review, so please let us know what you think.

A few of the County Executive's key initiatives have meetings in the near future at which the public can hear an updates and ask questions. The Joint Initiative to Eliminate the Opportunity Gap in our schools has a public meeting this week, the Gun Violence Prevention Task Force has one next week, and there will be a Hate Crimes and Bias forum later this month. The details are below in the "Upcoming Events" section. We hope to see you there.

Have a great week!

Best,

Reece Peak
