The Short Vort
Good Morning!
Today is Tuesday the fifth of February 2019
One of the Brochus we say every morning is:
בָּרוּךְ אַת........מֶֽלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם, הַמֵּכִין מִצְעֲדֵי גָֽבֶר.
We thank (bless) HaShem for being the one “who firms man’s footsteps “ (Artscroll translation).
On Monday (yesterday) I was the chazzan (shaliach tzibbur) for Shacharis.
I felt when I said the brocha of thanking HaShem for “firming our steps”, that perhaps I said it too hastily.
Perhaps, there not the best kavana.
A minute after davening ended (the eight o’clock shacharis was in the Main Shel that morning) - as I headed down the back door to my office, I missed the last step and fell down!!!
Baruch HaShem I was not hurt.
However, the message was crystal clear: “Never forget who REALLY firms the steps of man!
A Guuten Chodesh!!
