SPRING CLASSES:

Models of God , led by Amy Notbohm The images, language, and metaphors we use for God and the divine affect how we make sense of the world around us and how we interact with other people, the environment and our own selves. Using Sallie McFague’s book “Models of God” as a starting point, this class will seek to highlight common ways we understand and talk about God, look at the impact of some traditional metaphors, and share new ways to both honor tradition and create new language to understand God in a 21st century context.

The Jesus Fatwah , facilitated by Pastor Jeff, brings together seventeen Islamic and Christian scholars to offer reliable information about what Muslims believe, how they live out their faith, and how we all can be about building relationships across the lines of faith. Each session includes DVD input and discussion. The participant guide, written by Rev. Ben Daniel (author of The Search for the Truth about Islam), serves as a catalyst for constructive and inspiring conversation. Watch a preview here .
