Planning Commission Re-Vote is TOMORROW, February 8
On Friday, February 8th, 8:30 a.m. in Room 40 (basement) of City Hall at 15 Kellogg Blvd West, the St Paul Planning Commission will be holding a re-vote of TCGIS's variance request and site plan, which had been previously voted on and approved at the the January 25th Planning Commission meeting. Here is the agenda.
This is a public meeting, but not a public hearing; thus, no testimony will be allowed. However, the Planning Commission is voting to amend their bylaws, which will make this an important meeting to attend. If you are available to attend, please wear TCGIS attire, bring your Alle Sind Hier Herzlich Willkommen signs, etc. We welcome your presence and support, but only if your schedule permits. |
TCGIS in the Pioneer Press
Former and Current Board Chairs Kelly Laudon and Sam Walling penned an OpEd which appeared in the Pioneer Press on Wednesday, February 6. This editorial outlines the school's official position regarding the upcoming Planning Commission vote on our variances and site plan for our campus improvement plan as well as the City Council hearing end of March on historic designation.

Letter Templates Opposing Historic Designation for City Council Members Now Available
On March 20th, TCGIS will be on the City Council agenda for a public hearing on the historic designation application. Public testimony will be allowed at this meeting. Before this hearing it will be critical that we get as many letters of support for TCGIS and AGAINST historic designation as possible from all parents, family members, neighbors and supporters. Please consider writing a letter for each parent/adult in your household, and engaging your family members and friends to help as well. The volume of letters for and against Historic Designation is an important part of the record. Letters are being accepted now, so please start writing to your city council members and the mayor today! If you're not sure which Ward you live in, visit this site: St. Paul CIty Council Member Look Up. Below are the City Council Members by Ward, with their email addresses:

Seeking 8-12 more host families for the 2019-2020 Intern Program
We're getting there, but right now we only have enough families to host half the number of Interns we'd like to bring to TCGIS next year. We plan to have about 14 Interns each semester -
but
we can only invite as many Interns as we have host families! We need to make final decisions about next year's Interns this month, so the time to act is now. We are especially seeking families who could host in the fall semester.
Ready to sign up? Have questions about hosting?
Katharina Schirg
can answer questions and connect you with current and past host families who can share their experiences with you, or check out these
FAQs about hosting.
We hope you'll consider hosting an Intern next school year!
