Note from Jean Behnke
Dear Parents,

I have to admit that I miss being with all of you. Informal chit-chat times gave me a chance to connect with you as parents and to keep you updated. With COVID restrictions, (and I am so grateful to our team for making in-person school possible), I see little of you. We greet one another in the morning, and then we all move along in our strange, isolated ways.

Re-Enrollment Contracts Schedule

Re-enrollment season is right around the corner! We anticipate full classes in many grades once again, and because of this, we want you to be well-informed about the enrollment timeline. Contracts for the 2021-2022 school year are expected to be released on March 10, with contracts for financial aid recipients to be released on April 5. There is limited space available for new students in most classes, so it will be very important to enroll by the deadline of March 24 (April 19 for financial aid recipients). Enrolling by the deadline will allow us to know the available spaces for new students. Mark your calendars! Thank you.
Crossroads Fund Updates
Show Your Love!

During the month of February all gifts made will honor our faculty and staff.

When you make your gift you can also send a special message to your child's teacher(s) or a staff member. At the end of the month, every teacher/staff member will receive a handmade terrarium (created by past parent Diane Kimball P’20,) along with your heartfelt messages.

Help us reach our goal of $175K and 100% participation. We can't do it without you!

Thank you for all those who have already given to the Crossroads Fund!

Being a member of the Crossroads community is truly special. Since we cannot, at this time, gather together to meet and share stories, the Parent Association has developed a "Crossroads Connections" series in which families will be introduced through interviews each week.

This week, we introduce you to:

Crossroads Student: Mía, Fourth Grade
At Crossroads Since: 2014

Family HeARTs Night
Sponsored by the Parent Association

Thursday, February 11, 2021 • 6:00pm–7:00pm

To celebrate this year’s Family Arts Night we will be creating heART inspired artworks. Join Mrs. Nadeau (via zoom) to celebrate family, friends, and loved ones.

Using the symbolic heart as our inspiration, Mrs. Nadeau will lead families through a variety of mediums and projects to explore. Together, we will create messages of strength, love, and hope.

General Updates
XYZ Math Circle
Former Crossroads student Zoe Zitzewitz '18 is running a small math enrichment program for fourth-sixth graders in the Upper Valley. The program is called XYZ Math Circle. The goal of the math circle is to provide young students with an interactive mathematics experience by cultivating excitement about the wide field of mathematics and exposing them to sophisticated concepts typically found outside of their school curriculum. Some of the lesson plans include Explorations in Graph Theory (including fun activities with isomorphisms, colorings, and directional graphs), Trippy Tori (exploring the world of topology and donuts), and Pi Day Fun (learning delightful facts about mathematical pi in celebration of Pi Day).

  • Dates: March 14- April 18 on Sundays
  • Time: 10:00-11:30 am
  • Place: Zoom
