Child and Family Well-Being Insights
The Intercept model provides intensive in-home services to children to reduce entry into foster care or to support reunification. The Endowment is supporting Intercept’s expansion into Cabarrus, Chatham, Davidson, Forsyth, Mecklenburg, Rockingham, and Union counties in North Carolina.
The Endowment helps organizations build capacity and infrastructure to better implement strategies that improve outcomes. This podcast series from The Impact Center at UNC Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute offers stories and strategies about facilitating strong partnerships, tackling community health issues, reducing disparities, and improving outcomes.
Families are the foundation that supports a child's well-being. The Family Focused Treatment Association is developing and testing a therapeutic model in North Carolina to help kin caregivers recognize and respond to the therapeutic needs of children in their home. Similarly, HALOS in Charleston is piloting the Success Coach model for kin families in need of more intensive family support.
