Who represents my ward?

The City of Belvidere City Council consists of 10 alderpersons, and a Mayor, City Clerk and Treasurer elected to four year terms. Two alderpersons are elected from each of the City's five wards. Each ward's aldermanic seats are staggered such that one seat from each ward is elected every two years.

Ordinances Passed at the City Council Meeting
February 6, 2023

Ord. #607H: An Ordinance Granting a Zoning District Change from GI, General Industrial District to HI, Heavy Industrial District (SW South Appleton Road and the Railroad Tracks).

Ord. #608H: An Ordinance Approving a Preliminary Plat Titled Crosslink Business Park No. 2 Subdivision.

Ord. #609H: An Ordinance Granting a Special Use to Allow a Planned Development within the HI, Heavy Industrial District (Crosslink Business Park No. 2 Subdivision).

Ord. #607H, #608H and #609H are for Project Yukon. A 1.24 million square-foot cold storage distribution center which will be located southwest of S. Appleton Road and the railroad tracks.

Ord. #610H: An Ordinance Granting a Special Use to Allow Daycare Center (3+Children) within the PO, Planned Office District (2170 Pearl Street).

Ord. #610H is for a daycare center that will be occupying the vacant medical building (2170 Pearl Street) between Belvidere Family Pet and Symphony Northwoods nursing home.

Ord. #611H: An Ordinance Approving a Final Plat Titled Final Plat 2 of Belvidere Retail Subdivision, A Replat of Lots, 3, 4, 5 and Outlot A of Belvidere Retail Subdivision.

Ord. #612H: An Ordinance Granting a Special Use to Allow a Planned Development within the PB, Planned Business District (1874 Crystal Parkway).

Ord. #611H and #612H are related to the cannabis dispensary at 1874 Crystal Parkway.
