The Artist Support Grantees
The Arts Council of Winston-Salem & Forsyth County and The Arts Council of Greater Greensboro are pleased to announce the recipients of the 2026 Artist Support Grant. A total of $51,700 has been awarded to 31 artists across North Carolina Arts Council Artist Support Grant Region 11, which includes Davidson, Davie, Forsyth, Guilford, and Randolph counties.

We celebrated our 75th Anniversary!
Thanks to our supportive donors together we raised $1.5 million in 2025 during our 75th Anniversary. What does that money go towards? The funds go towards operational longevity and supporting arts in the community.

Largest Funder of the Arts in WSFCS
In 2025, The Arts Council of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County was the largest funder of the arts in Winston-Salem and Forsyth County Schools! We also hosted the Arts Extravaganza for WSFCS with Sponsor support from Modern Automotive.

Summer Art Camp with WSPD
In partnership with the Winston-Salem Police Department, the Winston-Salem Police Foundation, and the City of Winston-Salem, this four-week program engaged youth ages 7 through12 in visual and performing arts while fostering interactions with police officers along with artists Issis Kelly and Stephanie Hurt. We celebrated at the end with WSPD’s Ice Cream Truck, Community Resource Unit presentations, and officer demonstrations with motorcycles and the K9 unit.

Good for the Hood Block Party
Good for the Hood East Winston Block Party will kick-off the East Winston Cultural Plan, a community-driven vision grounded in creative place-making. Through community engagement, the plan highlights the use of art, culture, and storytelling to spark transformation, promote economic mobility, and foster a sense of belonging and wellbeing. “The East Winston Block Party is more than a celebration,” said Whitney Harness, Executive Director of Delta Arts Center. “It’s a joyful act of cultural preservation and a powerful expression of our community’s soul. We’re honoring our history the way our elders did; old school style, through music, dance, food, and gathering. It’s a love-filled reminder that community is our greatest tradition. By reclaiming space and uplifting the traditions that ground us, we’re not only celebrating legacy, we’re building a brighter, more connected future.”
