Carl Junction Schools celebrates our outstanding local Board of Education during the Missouri School Board Association/state designated School Board Recognition Week: February 10-16.
A primary goal of the week is to build awareness and understanding of the important function a board of education plays in our schools and community. These public servants are elected by local constituents and do not receive compensation for their tireless efforts.
Members of the board are: President Larry Cowger, Vice President Christie Hutcheson, Kasey Cowger, Claudia Cox, Brian Massey, and Travis Spencer. Frank Pittman served on the Board for six years before resigning in November 2018. These men and women are champions for the students in Carl Junction.
At the board meeting on January 28, members were treated to dinner and presented with hand-made cards, posters, and signs created by district students.
