Rotarian Gay Acevedo (left) was named Clintonville Rotary Club Rotarian of the Year and Paul Harris Fellow at the club's recent annual banquet and meeting.
The 'Rotarian of the Year' award may be given to a member who exhibits “Service Above Self” in their daily activities and who promotes Rotary by their actions and involvements. This may be accomplished through one major activity in club service, in multiple activities, or by serving on several committees.
Gay was chosen for her leadership as she guided the club through Covid 19 pandemic while President of Clintonville Rotary. The pandemic made normal meetings nearly impossible and yet she did not allow the club to falter.
She went above and beyond in helping keep the club organized and has strengthened the club in the process. She continues to serve as the club treasurer, serves on the strategic planning committee, and is always quick to pitch in where help is needed.
Gay was also honored by being named a Paul Harris Fellow. Presenting the awards is fellow Rotarian Ann Fuge.
Rotarian Jeff Hoffman is named a Paul Harris Fellow.
Paul Harris Fellow recognition was created in memory of Paul Harris, the founder of Rotary as a way to show appreciation for contributions to the Foundation's charitable and educational program. A Paul Harris Fellow is an individual who contributes $1,000 or in whose name that amount is contributed.
In this case, the Clintonville Rotary Club made the contribution in Jeff's name to show their appreciation for all the work he has done for the club. Over the years he has submitted many newspaper articles and more recently he has maintained and built the club's Facebook presence in order to increase awareness of Rotary in the area.
Presenting the award is fellow Rotarian Connie Mitchell.

Announcing Phased Retirement!

After 17 years serving Clintonville and the surrounding areas as a Cellcom agent, Trophies and Treasures is moving into a phased retirement. We will continue our trophies, awards, and engraving business at our current location (50 S. Main Street, Clintonville, WI) with reduced operating hours.
-
Cellcom will also continue out of the same location, however, it will be owned and operated by a new agency – PRO WIRELESS. The new agents have many years of experience with Cellcom and will continue to serve Clintonville and the surrounding areas with the same great service you have received from Trophies & Treasures.
-
These changes will be effective on Monday, January 17, 2022. If you have any questions for Trophies & Treasures, they can be reached at the same phone number – 715-823-2248. Please watch our Facebook page for updated business hours for trophies, awards, and engraving services.
-
We would like to thank our Cellcom customers for your continued support over the years. We have enjoyed working with all of you in the area, and are looking forward to a phased retirement to enjoy more time with family and friends.
