The 2024 Oakdale Chamber Annual Awards Dinner was a night of celebration, recognizing the outstanding individuals, businesses, and organizations that make Oakdale a thriving and vibrant community.
On Friday, February 28th, we gathered for an unforgettable evening filled with excitement, pride, and inspiration. The highlight of the night was listening to Lifetime Achievement Award winner Steve Medlen share his wisdom on laying stepping stones for future generations. His message resonated deeply, as each of our nominees and winners are paving the way for Oakdale’s bright future.
Nomination & Award Process
The Annual Awards recognize individuals and organizations who have made a significant impact in our community. Nominations are open to all community members, and winners are selected by a dedicated Awards Committee composed of esteemed individuals from Oakdale.

🏆 Lifetime Achievement Award – Steve Medlen
Few individuals have left a lasting impact on Oakdale like Steve Medlen, owner of House of Beef. Since 1979, Steve and his wife, Cindi, have served the community with exceptional meats, catering, and unwavering dedication. A third-generation meat processor, Steve learned the trade from his father and uncles, building House of Beef into a culinary cornerstone and a hub for local business collaboration.
Beyond his business, Steve has been a tireless advocate for downtown redevelopment and an active supporter of countless community events and nonprofits, including Oakdale Rotary, Oakdale Sports Boosters, the Cowboy Museum, and the Lions Club. His generosity and leadership continue to shape Oakdale’s future.
Steve’s resilience, passion, and commitment have earned him industry recognition, including California Cattleman’s Steakhouse of the Year, and he remains a steadfast supporter of the Oakdale Chamber, where he served as President in 1985.
On behalf of the Oakdale Chamber of Commerce and the entire community, we proudly recognize Steve Medlen as the 2024 Lifetime Achievement Award recipient. Congratulations, Steve!
