System of Care - Youth Voice
One of the System of Care Implementation Grant’s overall goal is to connect youth-serving systems to provide seamless, client-centered care. In order to truly have client-centered care, the voice of the client must be heard. Through the efforts of youth and young adults from Stark County YouthMOVE and GlenOak’s Social Justice Group, and with the assistance of a videographer, family members, and a variety of staff, videos were created as one way to have that voice heard and begin those conversations.

While it is important for youth and young adults to offer feedback to professionals regarding their diagnosis and level of care, it is also vital that they reach out to each other. The call to action asks youth and young adults to break through the social stigma, know that they are not alone, and to ask for help.

These videos can be viewed through the following link: YouthMOVE Stark County PSAs. View them, hear them, help them share their message.

Trauma Tidbit
"Help others maintain a hopeful outlook. An optimistic outlook enables visions of good things in life and can keep people going even in the hardest times. There are positive aspects to everyone’s life. Taking time to identify and appreciate these enhances the client’s outlook and helps him or her persevere."
