Most body care products contain preservatives, artificial colors or fragrances, and even the products labeled “natural” can contain ingredients that aren’t good for our bodies. Learn the basics of lotion making with local herbal farmer, Joan of Old Town Flowers. This special recipe uses natural and easy to find ingredients and is the perfect moisturizer for winter skin. Students will get to take home a jar of lotion as well as instructions for making lotion at home.

Malai kofta is a decadent curry with rich and creamy koftas (fried dumplings) served with an equally creamy onion tomato and nut based gravy. It is one of the most popular vegetarian dishes ordered in Indian restaurants. This class teaches the basics of making the classic curry along with tips on making different koftas that go well with the gravy.
