Father in heaven,

may the faith you have given us in your son,

Jesus Christ, our brother, and the flame of

charity enkindled in our hearts by the Holy

Spirit, reawaken in us the blessed hope

for the coming of your Kingdom.

May your grace transform us into tireless

cultivators of the seeds of the Gospel.

May those seeds transform from within

both humanity and the whole cosmos in

the sure expectation of a new heaven and

a new earth, when, with the powers of Evil

vanquished, your glory will shine eternally.

May the grace of the Jubilee reawaken

in us, Pilgrims of Hope, a yearning for the

treasures of heaven.

May that same grace spread the joy

and peace of our Redeemer throughout

the earth.

To you our God, eternally blessed, be glory

and praise for ever.

Below is a summary of the new Masses and liturgical offerings we have recently announced.

Rosary

We pray the Rosary each Sunday at 8:30 a.m. in the church.

Saturday 9 AM Mass

We have added a Saturday morning Mass each week at 9:00 a.m. (This Mass will not fulfill the Sunday obligation.)

Weekly Adoration

In addition to our First Friday Adoration, we now have a weekly Eucharistic Adoration on Wednesdays from 5:00-7:00 p.m. in our Chapel.

Confession

Beginning Saturday, March 8, Confessions will be moved from 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays to 9:30 a.m. on Saturdays, following the morning Mass. 

Sunday 7:30 AM Mass

Beginning Sunday, March 9, we will offer a weekly 7:30 a.m. Mass on Sundays. This Mass will include music for the Processional and Recessional with other parts of the Mass recited.

We have recently introduced a new Missal "Source and Summit." Please note that the Mass Music numbers can be found on the second page of the bulletin. Feel free to pick up a bulletin on your way into Mass to use this guide.

This includes all the hymns for Sunday as well as the Mass Setting. Our new Gloria and service music from "Mass of Peace" begins in the Source and Summit Missal on page 53 (#38). 

Everything marked "SS" is from Source and Summit and everything marked with a "W" comes from the hardcover Worship book. 

The readings for the day are announced before Mass begins and can be found in the softcover Source and Summit.

Our clergy team was blessed to secure the Grand Chef Award (raising the most money for the Seminarians at the PCJ) at the Clergy Who Cook event at the Pontifical College Josephinum!

Our clergy cooked up another savory treat (Moo Shu Sloppy Joes Sliders) for over 260 people. Most importantly, due to your excellent generosity, once again, the St. Brigid community donated a significant amount of funds to help support the Seminarians.



Thank you very much for your great support of this fun event and great cause. Please continue to pray for vocations to the priesthood, diaconate, and religious life.

We are excited to hold our 18th annual Corks for a Cause Silent Auction and Wine Tasting for SPiCE on Saturday, March 1, 2025 with the theme Red Carpet.

For each star purchased, the family name will have a star on the Wall of Fame at the event. Come find your star on March 1 and take a selfie next to it! If you can't make it to the event, this is still a great way to support and have your family represented. This wall is designed to recognize SPiCE supporters and to help raise money for our SPiCE program to support the special needs of our many types of learners at St. Brigid of Kildare.

As part of the 2025 Jubilee Holy Year, the Holy Father has invited the permanent deacons of the world and their families to Rome. Deacon Steve Petrill will be taking a group of permanent deacons from our Diocese for this special event. We are happy to announce that one of our own, Deacon Candidate Bryan Inderhees, will be ordained to the Permanent Diaconate at St. Peter's Basilica on Sunday February 23, at 3 AM Eastern Time. Bryan's internship year was spent at St. Brigid and our parish remains important to Bryan and his family.

The Social Action Committee will be collecting non-perishable items on Ash Wednesday (March 5) and the following weekend (March 8-9). Donations can be dropped off at Hendricks Hall around all Masses on those days or placed in the Collection closet in Hendricks Hall throughout the week. Volunteers will also be at the March 1 Sunday Social to collect items. 

Bishop Griffin Resource Center will be the recipient of the collection. This food pantry continues to serve over 600 families weekly. While all items are appreciated, the following are of greater need:

- canned pineapple and fruit  cocktail

- cereal

- jelly

- cooking oil

- toilet paper (4-rolls only)

They are asking for 4-packs rather than splitting large packs due to storage and hygiene concerns.

The need in the community remains high and your donations help children and the elderly receive nutritious items.

Join us for this four-week Lenten study!

A Lent to Remember explores the ways God reaches out to each of us with his mercy. This four-week series makes a step-by-step examination of the Rite of Confession and communicates God's invitation to each one of us to come experience his indescribable love this Lent. Through Christ's suffering on the cross in the Paschal Mystery and his perpetual reception of his people in the Sacrament of Reconciliation, God makes his love, his very self, present to us in the world.

Hi there, St. Brigid Parish!

We have had a FULL past month!

We attended the March for Life at the end of January, made 120 self care bags to send to the Ronald McDonald House, hosted our first day retreat with the Mantle on St. Brigid’s feast day, had a fun family Super Bowl party, and entered into a night of prayer talking about living a life of purity, where Father Lynch was able to expose Jesus in Eucharistic Adoration and have confession! We also have had a fun time going and visiting our teens at different sporting events, including basketball and swimming!

It has been so full, but we are so grateful for the abundance of opportunities that the Lord has given us! We are so grateful for what the Lord is working and doing here at The Mantle and the gift that it is to walk with our youth in such formative years of their life!

CURRENT 8^TH GRADE PARENTS: we will be hosting a few youth group nights to invite your kids into our community and to get a taste before they go into high school! Attached is our schedule, we can’t wait for your teens to be a part of our youth group!

Also, please pray for our month of March and all that the Lord will do!

SBAA invites all parents to participate in an upcoming diocesan “Play Like a Champion” training course, designed for coaches and required by the diocese for all CYO coach volunteer roles. This training also satisfies the “Parent Like a Champion” requirement for athletes’ CYO participation. The “Play Like a Champion” course is a 3 hour training, serving as an informational workshop providing coaches and parents with best in practice skills for building great teams and engaged athletes through the coach’s role.

As St Brigid of Kildare continues to grow sports offerings and expand to younger athletes, the “Play Like a Champion” training course is highly encouraged for parents interested in having their children participate in St Brigid athletics. This course is a one-time requirement for parents in the diocesan league (thereby this does not need to be completed for each athlete, only once per parent, per family). We were overwhelmed by your generosity with the recent Project Magi collection! We provided five full carloads of coats, scarves, gloves, blankets, flashlights, candles and batteries to four organizations that provide for homeless and needy families. A special thank you to the teens who braved the cold to help committee members collect items from parishioners!

One Step Forward is a Lenten gathering designed for the family to help us prepare to take one step closer to Jesus this Lent. This meaningful event will include prayer, reflection, crafts and activities. We hope to see you there!

The 55+ Club has had a full and busy year! They have enjoyed tremendous support from the clergy at their events and as speakers, such as at the annual Christmas Luncheon at the Country Club of Muirfield Village. 

They've added many new members who love the social and educational events. They usually meet the first Wednesday of each month in Hendricks Hall.

We will be taking Mass intention requests electronically through forms on the website for Masses in July—December 2025. The Mass Intentions form will go live on Monday, March 3 at 10 a.m. on our website at www.stbrigidofkildare.org. We will only be taking requests for July—December 2025 at this time. 

In order to fairly accommodate all Mass Intentions requested, we ask that you request no more than two (2) Mass intentions per family per six-month period.

Wilson Scholarship

The Robert E. and Rhoda M. Wilson Scholarship is currently available through The Catholic Foundation for applications. This is a four-year scholarship totaling $12,000 ($3,000 per year)

Requirements for the Robert E. and Rhoda M. Wilson Scholarship are as follows:

• Any Catholic in good standing pursuing a post-secondary degree who currently resides in Delaware County (for a minimum of 48 months). These facts must be confirmed by a letter of recommendation from your Pastor.

New Scholarship Opportunity – The Nativity of Mary

This scholarship provides a four year $2,000 per year scholarship to any rising 9^th grade student (current 8^th grader) who will attend a Catholic High School in the 2025-2026 school year. The Nativity of Mary Scholarship was established for the propagation of the Catholic faith and devotion to Our Blessed Mother. A letter of recommendation, short essay on the applicant’s devotion to our Blessed Mother, and financial need will be used to evaluate the potential applicants. Provided the student remains in good standing and continues to attend a Catholic high school in the Diocese of Columbus, the scholarship will be renewed all four years until that student graduates.

The St. Charles Preparatory School Drama Department will present its winter musical, The Old Man and The Old Moon by the PigPen Theatre Co. on February 27, 28, and March 1 at 8:00 p.m., and Sunday, March 2 at 3:00 p.m. Adult Tickets are $15, students $10. Tickets may be purchased by reserving online at scprep.org and clicking the “buy tickets” button on the top left. Tickets will not be sold at the door. The Old Man and The Old Moon tells the epic tale of an old man who must abandon his duties of filling up the moon with liquid light to cross the seas in search of his missing wife. A glorious musical for every generation to enjoy.

This is a double feature event combining Purified and Gender & the Theology of Your Body into a retreat event.

Purified brings parents and teens (13+) together to discover God’s plan for love and opens up an opportunity for them to continue the discussion about this important topic at home, in a healthy and easy way with resources that work. The event includes a new version of Jason’s renowned talk Love or Lust, where he mixes humor with down-to-earth practicality that removes any awkwardness, making the difficult conversations about love much easier. Your family will leave with an understanding of the good news of chastity, a healthy sense of self-worth, and the ability, if needed, to start again.

Gender and the Theology of Your Body will follow after a short break. This talk asks, “What’s the meaning of sex, gender, and the human body?” The truth of masculinity and femininity are being questioned like never before. Discover how your body as a man or woman reveals your identity and calling. This talk is for teens and adults and provides the opportunity to discuss this difficult topic facing teens and families today.

This event includes Eucharistic Adoration, praise and worship, and an opportunity to receive the sacrament of Reconciliation. This format transforms a couple of talks into a retreat for the family, allowing them to encounter the source of purity, healing, and renewal, Jesus Christ.

This event is hosted by St. Peter St. Joan of Arc Parish, St. Brigid of Kildare, and St. Mary Delaware and will take place at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. The parish will be providing dinner before the first talk beginning at 4:30pm.

A new Catholic senior living community is coming soon! The Villas of Saint Therese Plain City is planned to open in 2027 and will feature over 200 apartments for independent living and assisted living.

Mental Health Summit: Our Catholic Response to Mental Health

As we face a growing mental health crisis in our society, what should we do? As Catholics, we are called to respond to the signs of the times. Join in a public conversation on the topic and together create our local response. The summit will be held at St. Brendan the Navigator Church, March 28, 2025, from 9:00am - 2:00pm. St. Timothy Spaghetti Dinner

Mangia! St. Timothy’s Annual Spaghetti Dinner - One of the oldest (and most delicious) traditions at St. Timothy returns from 12 to 6:30 p.m. Sunday, March 2 with homemade marinara, meatballs, pasta, rolls and desserts. Dine in and be served by our fabulous staff of volunteers, or visit our carry-out crew in the cafeteria.

Homeschooling in Central Ohio

Opus Domini, the Works of Our Lord, is a Catholic homeschool support community in Central Ohio. We exist to help home educators connect with each other, plan classes, activities, and social gatherings with other Catholic homeschoolers. This is also the perfect place to ask questions, request prayers, and seek encouragement for your homeschooling journey.
