First Street Transit Gallery - POW! WOW!

In keeping with Long Beach Transit’s commitment to promote community and public art in the areas we serve, LBT is partnering with POW! WOW! Long Beach to showcase some of the amazing murals that add vibrant color throughout the city. A selection of the murals will be the newest art on display at the First Street Transit Gallery in Downtown Long Beach through the end of April.

POW! WOW! is globally renowned for bringing street art to communities throughout the world since it was founded in 2010. Long Beach is fortunate to be one of those cities with more than 40 square miles of stunning murals painted throughout the community since POW! WOW! came to Long Beach in 2015. These unique pieces create an immersive public art experience that makes art free and accessible to everyone.

This isn’t LBT’s first partnership with POW! WOW!. You have probably already spotted or ridden the mural bus designed by talented artist Steven Harrington.

For a safe, socially distanced tour, grab your face covering and head to the First Street Transit Gallery on First St. between Pine Avenue and Long Beach Boulevard.

You can also view the murals on display virtually and learn more about the First Street Transit Gallery at ridelbt.com/art.
