GIVE KIDS A SMILE- FREE DENTAL CARE


APPOINTMENTS ARE OPEN!

FREE DENTAL CARE FOR UNDERSERVED CHILDREN

Friday, Feb. 2 & Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024


Give Kids a Smile is a charitable outreach program that provides free dental care to underserved children (typically ages 3-18). Dental clinics throughout the state volunteer to provide these services during Children’s Dental Health Month.

 

WHEN IS IT?

February 2 and 3 2024

(Some clinics hold events on alternative dates.)

LOCATION?

Volunteer dental clinics across the state.

HOW ARE APPOINTMENTS MADE? 

Families can locate a participating clinic by visiting www.mndental.org/gkas or contacting the United Way by dialing 2-1-1 or texting their zip code to 898-211.They can then contact the clinic directly to schedule an appointment.

Edina Give & Go

Up to $500 during the school year for Edina K-12 students to participate in Athletics, Arts or Academic offerings.


Plus an additional $500 during the summer months.

Edina Connect Card

Access financial supports with Edina Parks & Rec Camps & Classes and various Athletic Associations. Cards must be renewed every 2 years.

SUMMER GO TIME 2024 Summer Scholarship

Available to incoming K-12 Edina School students to participate in Community Ed Camps/Classes this summer. Registration Form Forma de Registro

TAX PREP CLINICS

Free Tax Prep


CAP-HC's VITA Program provides free basic tax return preparation to qualified individuals and families, including:

  • Single households with annual income of $40,000 or less
  • Families with dependents annual income of $60,000 or less
  • Persons with disabilities
  • Limited English-speaking taxpayers

All applicants must live in Hennepin County.

Community Action Partnership of Hennepin County (CAP-HC) is offering a free financial wellness workshops for community members

FINANCIAL WELLNESS CLASS


This classes uses the FDIC Money Smart curriculum, and includes topics in budgeting basics, money management, how to access and understand your credit report, how to manage your credit history and debt, and how to protect your identity and assets. Registration required

Connecting with Kids Award

Connecting With Kids, an Edina Community Foundation program, believes that our community and all of its members have a powerful influence on the development of youth. 

To honor those who have consistently worked to build assets in our youth, Connecting With Kids will present Leadership Awards at our breakfast on Friday March 8, 2024.


Who is Eligible?

Any individual, school, school group, organization, religious organization, foundation, or company who shares our vision that healthy kids lead to a healthy community. The nominee must have some link to Edina.

Early Childhood Screening

Early Screening is used to help check a child's development and health while getting connected to early childhood programs. Screening is required before beginning Kindergarten and is available starting at age 3 year.
