BACnet International Program Updates
BACnet Remote Interoperability Test Environment (BRITE)
We recently announced the launch of BRITE. BRITE provides a confidential, supplier-independent environment for remote interoperability testing of BACnet devices. The focus of BRITE is BACnet Secure Connect (BACnet/SC) product interoperability testing and it utilizes BACnet/SC to achieve secure connections over the Internet.
It is free for BACnet International corporate members throughout 2021. Suppliers can now enroll in the program, register their devices, and schedule test sessions. Live test sessions will start on Monday, March 8, 2021.
BACnet/SC Interoperability Acceleration Program
BACnet Secure Connect Interoperability Acceleration program participants have received lots of valuable information over the past several months. Three webinars have been delivered and tools have been distributed that enable rapid creation of BACnet/SC test environments.
Participants received the System Implementation along with the new toolkit, the System Test Bench.
How to Get the Tools:
To find out if your company is a participating member of the BACnet/SC Interoperability Acceleration Program with access to these tools, contact Dave Nardone, Regional Operations, at david@bacnetinternational.org
If your company is not a member you can obtain immediate access to the reference implementation and the test tools by joining the program.
The software is expected to become available through an open source repository in July of 2021.
