Meet Stellan: an Encompass Story
Stellan's mom Bre first considered Encompass Early Intervention speech therapy for her son when he was nearly two years old. She had noticed that Stellan’s level of frustration with language was increasing: he spoke, but others could not easily understand him.

"I began listening to the Encompass Parent Talks Podcast , and the episode “Cute baby talk or something more?” resonated with me," says Bre. "It was like an affirmation of my own internal worry for him."

It was the final push Bre and her husband needed to enroll Stellan in Encompass Early Intervention, where they started working with Speech-Language Pathologist Tiana Bennett.

"The process was comfortable, intriguing, and while it certainly helped Stellan, Tiana also provided us with the tools to help him ourselves," Bre describes. "Within three months, our son no longer exhibited what for him are extraordinary outbursts. He uses his words, and each day, we understand more. Encompass has opened new doors for Stellan, and we cannot wait to see how he continues to develop while utilizing them."

Mystery Readers visit our preschool classrooms to honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
In January, we honored the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by inviting mystery readers to our preschool classes. Each volunteer read books inspired by the teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. that celebrate courage, differences, and making a change.
It Starts Here: Help us Build a New Encompass Center!
We have a vision for a brand new state-of-the-art facility in Snoqualmie that will allow us to open up a range of new possibilities for children and families. Our new space will:

  • Serve 30% more children in pediatric therapy
  • Double the capacity of behavioral health programs
  • Add critical therapeutic programs for children and families.

We have currently raised $7,300,000 of our $8,300,000 goal. We are so encouraged and thankful for such generous support, but we still have a ways to go. That’s why we’re asking you, our community, to help us reach our goal.

Parent Talks Podcast: Developing Your Child's Early Literacy Skills
Before kids can actually read and write, they already know a lot about reading and writing. Research shows that these early literacy skills are developed and strengthened beginning at birth—by talking, singing, playing, and of course, reading and writing. King County Library System’s Paula Burton, Public Services Librarian, and Jennifer Loomis, Children’s Services Librarian, dropped by the Parent Talks Podcast to share their insights on building early literacy skills in children.
Encompass Podcasts are featured on Apple Podcasts , Spotify , Google Podcasts, and more. Be sure to subscribe so you are notified each time we post a new episode!
Encompass Preschool NAEYC Accreditation Renewed
Encompass is proud to share that our preschool program recently passed their accreditation renewal with the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). NAEYC Accreditation of Early Learning Programs provides a mechanism for early learning programs to demonstrate their commitment to high-quality early childhood education.

Encompass passed the four-step process with flying colors and remains the only preschool in the Snoqualmie Valley with NAEYC accreditation.
