LP 2019 January Business Day Recap
The current Leadership Premier class heard from Anirban Basu, CEO of Sage Policy Group, about the various economic factors influencing the regional business climate and the overall economic climate of the state of Maryland.  
A special thank you to the Howard County Economic Development Authority for sponsoring Mr. Basu. 
Class members participated in an interactive “Game of Throws” that brought into focus some of the numerous issues affecting local business -including the complexities and challenges of growing a business.

Leadership Howard County is partnering with The Business Monthly and will be featured in a “Celebration of Leadership” pull-out section to be published April 1. Service Project Recap
Our membership rallied on MLK Day,
January 21, 2019!  With their help, along with family members and friends, Leadership packaged and delivered more than 275 Code Blue meals for Grassroots! A HUGE shout out to all who participated!

Howard County Recreation and Parks is proud to sponsor the Community Sports Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame serves as a public museum to educate the public about cultural, historical and personal contributions and achievements in Howard County community sports. Nominations are being accepted to honor individuals who have gained notable and/or have made substantial contributions to Howard County citizens in local community recreational sports. Howard County Government is continuing efforts to support federal workers following the historic 35-day government shutdown. Howard County Executive Calvin Ball has directed county departments to continue the special programs and services put into place to assist workers directly impacted by the shutdown. As a result of the furlough, families experiencing continued needs should contact the Department of Community Resources and Services (DCRS) directly at 410-313-6400 or the Howard County Food Bank at
