We're in full swing with Green Season! We had a great time at the Clann Na nGael dinner! Thank you to all who attended!
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at Sunday's meeting! PLEASE NOTE: IMPORTANT TRAFFIC UPDATE. I-70 is closed through Sunday between 315 and I-71, take an alternate route to the meeting.
If you have children or grandchildren who might be interested in carrying the DOE banner in the Saint Patrick's Day Parade, please contact Colleen Collins at 614-595-0758.
All are welcome to join the Old Trinity Lutheran Church, 404 East 4th St. for a Shrove Tuesday dinner 5:30-7 pm, Feb. 13, all-you-can-eat pancakes, eggs and sausage for $7 each.

FEBRUARY MEMBERSHIP MEETING
The February meeting is Sunday, Feb. 11 at Old Trinity Lutheran Church, 404 East 4th St. Hospitality asks us to bring items that are red, heart-shaped or chocolate. We'll also be coordinating the upcoming events and fundraisers for the Green Season.

We are collecting items for Valentine's Day gifts for West Park nursing home residents in memory of long-time member Ruth Kunkel.

2024 IRISH BREAKFAST
PLANNING MEETING
If you are interesting joining the Irish Breakfast Committee, there is a meeting at 2:30 pm, Wednesday, Feb. 21 at Lucky's Grille in Hilliard. Please text or call Donna O'Brien if you plan to attend at 614-519-9876.
The Daughters of Erin Annual Traditional Irish Breakfast Fundraiser is from 9 am-1 pm, Sunday, March 3 at Our Lady of Victory Church, 1559 Roxbury Road, Columbus, 43212. Tickets are a suggested donation of $15 for adults and $10 for children. The menu includes eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, tomatoes, mushrooms, porridge, homemade scones, Irish breads, sweets, juice, tea and coffee.
There will be a Rowdy Raffle - donated items are needed! Please let Donna O'Brien or Sheila Hively know if you will be bringing items. We'll have more information at the February meeting.
WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!
We need volunteers throughout the day to serve, bus tables and more! If you want to help but are not sure when you'll arrive, please come and help out where needed. We will send the Sign-Up Genius information after the Planning Meeting.
CALLING ALL BAKERS!
It's time to bake soda bread, brown bread, little muffins and breads (zucchini, banana or fruit). If you haven't been to the Irish Breakfast, we serve delicious breads and sweets to go with the hot breakfast. These goodies do NOT have to be homemade. Baked goods can be dropped off the day of the breakfast.

ANNUAL CHILDREN'S EGG STUFFING & EGG HUNT
We will be filling more than 4,000 plastic eggs on Friday, Feb. 16 at 6:30 pm. If you can help, please come. It is true, many hands make light work. If you would like to donate candy, it must be wrapped and able to fit in a plastic egg. Also, the Emerald Society Fish Fry is 5:30-8 pm, so you can grab dinner then come upstairs for all the fun!
Join us at the Shamrock Club, 60 W. Castle Rd. at 11 am, Saturday March 30. Lunch is hot dogs, punch, chips and goody bags.

2024 Daughters of Erin badges are $1 each or you can purchase a bag of 10 or 25 badges. The sales support the Saint Patrick's Day parade costs.

Annual membership dues are $10 for Junior members (under 18 years of age) and $20 for Regular members (ages 18-79).

2024 IRISH FAMILY REUNION
The 2024 Shamrock Club Irish Family Reunion is Sunday, March 17 and will be held at the Battelle Grand Ballroom at the Columbus Convention Center, 400 N. High St. Tables are $140 per table of 10. Individual tickets prices are $15 for adults and $8 for children ages 5 to 17. Children 4 and under are free.
Tables are sold on first-come basis. Karen Komatsu (614-565-2776) is coordinating table sales.
Alcoholic beverages are not permitted to be brought in, and coolers will be checked. There will be food available for purchase (more to come on this) AND you may still bring your own food as in past years.
Entertainment will be provided by Richens Timm Irish Dance, Dwyer Irish Dance, The Hooligans, Rankin-Holland Irish Dance and Irwin Irish Dance Academy.
Saint Patrick's Day details will be in the February Seanachai. We'll send a link as soon as we recieve it.

16th ANNUAL MARK DEMPSEY INTERNATIONAL IRISH TRIATHALON
Come have some Gaeilge fun while raising funds for Nationwide Children's Hospital Pediatric Oncology Unit on Saturday February 17 from 2 to 3 pm at the Shamrock Club. If you'd like to sponsor the event, contact Fred Berkemer.
Try your hand at getting the lowest number of throws between cornhole, darts and horseshoes.
- $5 a round, buy as many rounds as you want until you get the score you like.
- If you wear a coat, hat or gloves for the outside events they must be worn for darts. Bonus points for creative dress. One point off per round for various crazy articles of clothing. NO SPEEDOS! Kilts, sandals, flippers, PJs, gorilla suits, etc. are encouraged.
- No preregistration needed -- just show up!
- If you're not a member, that's OK! $5 will get you a social membership for the entire year! (That means you can come hang out whenever you want!)

EMMET CAHILL CONCERT
Wednesday, March 13, there is a concert by internationally acclaimed, Irish tenor Emmet Cahill at St. Matthew the Apostle Church in Gahanna. Emmet is the lead singer with the group Celtic Thunder, has been guest soloist with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, and has played to sold out audiences at Carnegie Hall and the Irish National Concert Hall in Dublin, Ireland.
