Jessie Wilber Gallery
February 14, 2020 - April 24, 2020
The Wait by Gary Horinek
This full-scale, immersive  installation was designed specifically for the Emerson's Jessie Wilber Gallery. The piece thoughtfully combines Mr. Horinek's unique vision and construction know-how with elements from our natural world such as lava rock, bones, and flowing water to completely transform the space. Mr. Horinek has spent over a year researching, planning, and building this piece to capture the urgency and severity of our changing planet. Mr. Horinek's installations are intended to push the boundaries of environmental art by harmonizing the beauty of our current natural world with a future version of what the world could become through advanced global warming. This exhibit will also be featured in our Schools & Seniors in the Gallery curriculum. Come and see this impactful, indoor landscape for yourself during this unique exhibit of  The Wait.
Special thanks to the lodging sponsors of Gary's exhibit: the Bozeman Days Inn, the Bozeman Holiday Inn, and RSVP Motel as well as our other generous sponsors: the Montana Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts.

Lobby Gallery
Moments of the Infinite by Kelsey Dzinars
February 14, 2020 - May 3, 2020

Based on personal soul-invigorating experiences in the Northern Rockies, Kelsey's acrylic paintings reflect on the elusive space between dream and reality in which our inner psyche finds its interconnectedness with the outer world. This collection of work is an offer of gratitude for our planet as well as a comment on the conservation conversation, emphasizing that a practiced awareness of our innate oneness with the earth is and will be driving the desire to save it.

Weaver Room Gallery
The Space Between by  Hannah Uhde
February 14, 2020 - April 24, 2020
The Space Between is an exhibition of paintings by Montana artist Hannah Uhde. The passion behind this project is rooted in the physicality of the painting process as well as the breakdown of the inherent perception of the human figure. The resulting renditions embody an exploration of self, our connection to mankind, and what basically makes us human. Although the interpretations are personal, they are also universal.

All of our galleries are free and
open to the public.

A Fresh Coat of Paint

During the Celebration of the Arts, we revealed our newest project - renovating the Crawford Theater! In order to give the Theater a fresh coat of paint, add three-phase power, rewire/restore the original light fixtures, and restore its original shutters, we need to raise a total of $150,000.00.
Our theater is home to a variety of events: concerts, dance recitals, professional live theater, children's plays, films, lectures, and much more. We feel a beautiful restoration of our Theater is the perfect tribute to our retiring Theater Manager, Mike Weix, who spent the past twenty years caring for this space.
Please refer to the image below depicting our vision for transforming this space. We are very pleased to announce we have collected one-third of the funds necessary to make this dream come true for this community treasure. Please  Join us in raising the curtains on our theater and be a part of this historic project.
The renovations we hope to make possible with your help.
