About our Training
Ally is more than a word; it's an active practice involving self-reflection and outside perspective. Join AFP and guest speaker Ivan Vega to switch from performative allyship to active allyship. In this workshop, you will:
- Learn of the systematic inequities of the undocumented community.
- Embrace vulnerability and discomfort and tap into your own sense of justice.
- Learn how to form meaningful, authentic relationships with marginalized communities and how you can support their causes.
- Learn strategies for building cultural intelligence.
- Learn how to start standing up and speaking out.
