LaMardi Gras
February 10 & 11, 2023

LaMardi Gras is a celebration with a local flare to benefit the Lamar Volunteer Fire Department. This annual event occurs at the Lamar Volunteer Fire Department located at 302 Bois D'arc. The celebration starts Friday evening at 5pm-11pm and Saturday 10am-11pm. Activities include a parade (Sat. at 11am), live music, cold beer, vendors, food, auction, casinos and much more.

The History Center for Aransas County
Opens at the History Center "Quilting in the New Normal" The Piecemakers-by-the-Bay and the Friends of the History Center will present a show. Coffee and pastries will be served at the opening. Mimi Braniff will present a traditional Bed Turning program where Quilts will be shown with patterns and stitching described. The main galleries at the History will be filled with needlework from guild members and Fourth Graders from Sacred Heart School.

Aransas National Wildlife Refuge
Open daily from 30 minutes before sunrise to 30 minutes after sunset. The Visitor Center is open 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Come hike a trail, fish off the pier or from your kayak, or drive the 16-mile auto tour. Goose Island State Park

Check out the Disc golf course intertwining among the oak trees. Memorial Park is located at 1601 FM 2165 (Pearl St.) in Rockport. The park includes a 6000 sq. ft. modular skate park.
