MassDOT- Statewide Exit Renumbering Project Public Meeting: Feb. 25

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is converting all exit numbers on freeways to a milepost-based numbering system, per Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) requirement. Currently, interstates and freeways in Massachusetts utilize a sequential exit numbering method. MassDOT has committed to the implementation of mile-based with construction scheduled to begin late in the Summer of 2020. MassDOT is holding a Public Meeting at the Cape Cod Regional Transportation Authority (215 Iyannough Rd, Hyannis) on February 25, 6:30pm and welcome to all members to attend. MassDOT Construction
The Massachusetts Department of Transportation has announced it will begin pavement resurfacing operations on Route 25 in Bourne and Wareham on Monday, Feb. 10, and is expected to continue until August 2021.

The work will include the milling and repaving of Route 25 in Bourne and Wareham and Old Bourne Bridge Approach in Bourne, according to a press release. Work will also include improvements to drainage structures and guardrails within the project limits.

Overnight milling and paving operations will be performed between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Some other operations will be performed during the day between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Temporary lane restrictions will be implemented.

Traffic management will consist of standard temporary traffic control utilizing police details. Drivers who are traveling through the affected areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.
All scheduled work is weather dependent and/or may be impacted due to an emergency situation.

Massachusetts Department of Transportation engineers said the final design package for the Belmont Circle project in Buzzards Bay is nearing completion.

The Boston Bruins will be hosting their 13th Annual PJ Drive from February 1 - March 1 5 . The drive will benefit Cradles for Crayons and DCF Wonderfund, two non-profits that ensure positive living conditions for children.
In connection with the Jonathan Bourne Public Library the Cape Cod Canal Region Chamber will act as a drop off point.
