Directors Corner,

I am thrilled with the energy and positive conversations I am having with current and new members. Everyone I talk with wants to be a member.

I was approached by a member about creating a Restaurant Committee. This was something we had not thought of, but we have an willingness to try new solutions.

January 20th, we hosted a discussion group with members and community leaders to help us create the purpose and the vision of the chamber for 2023. It was powerful, meaningful, and inspiring to have our members define our goals and direction.

I recently read The Energy Bus by Jon Gordon. It is an easy, sometimes juvenile, read but the message is clear. Energy, purpose, vision, and positivity are what will move our members and organization forward together.

We have that energy now! I hope you all will get on "The Energy Bus" with me and we will take the Littleton Business Chamber to the next level!

C-Suite Discussion Group 1/20

The Littleton Business Chamber (LBC) hosted its first C-Suite Discussion Group January 20th in their new office space at Shift Workspaces.

Twenty-six community, city, chamber, and business leaders came together to brainstorm and share ideas on how the newly reformed chamber can be of benefit to business and the community.

The participants were divided into 4 discussion groups that were diverse in industry and representation of local organizations and government. Three questions were asked; What are your expectations of LBC in 2023, what issues or concerns is your business or organization facing in 2023, and how can the chamber help you with these concerns.

The discussions were effective in providing the chamber with direction and goals for this year. A survey was completed by most participants sharing why they wanted to be a member of LBC, networking, resources to local business and community information, and exposure to city and community leaders.

The group agreed to come together in 6 months and review the progress of the chamber. LBC is planning to continue this type of discussion quarterly with different participants and community leaders.
