To all our neighbors,
Like many of you, our hearts are heavy even as the light returns this season. We are reminded, however, that our farm is a mirror of our community: a place that stands up for our neighbors and offers peace and resources for all. We cannot separate food justice from justice in all its forms. Recent events have weighed heavily on many of our neighbors, especially local farmers of color and clients of our partner agencies who are feeling real fear and uncertainty. At Pitney Meadows, we hold fast to a simple promise: this is a place of welcome, care, and dignity for everyone.
We will keep growing good food and sharing it. We will keep showing up for one another. And we will keep working with our partners to ensure that every family feels seen, supported, and safe on this land. Thank you for standing with us as we cultivate not only the soil, but also the bonds that hold our community together.
In solidarity,

Spots are still available for our Spring sessions of Nurtured in Nature! This immersive after-school program invites K–5 students to explore, observe, and connect with the natural world through hands-on science, mindfulness, and outdoor discovery. Led by Leah and Andrew Ferrone, each weekly session brings seasonal themes that nurture curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, and social-emotional growth along the way.
Nurtured in Nature meets Wednesdays from 4:30–5:30pm at Pitney Meadows, with sessions running March 4th–25th and April 15th–May 6th. Every session offers something new, and repeat participation is encouraged for returning Nature Champions!

We’re currently hiring for several roles that help sustain our land, nourish our community, and grow a more resilient local food system, including development, program coordination, and seasonal farm positions. If you’re passionate about land, food, and community, there may be a role here with your name on it. | | Think your Community Farm "hibernates" in the winter? Think again! In this video, our very own Farmer Stephen and Farmer Kelly share what’s happening behind the scenes during the colder months... from winter field harvests to greenhouse production that keeps fresh, local food growing year-round. They also let you in on an insider secret, so be sure to watch! | | We’re excited to share a new chapter in our mission-driven work: hosting weddings and gatherings on our historic 166-acre Community Farm with Farmstead Catering. This intentional step into agritourism invites couples, families, and community members to celebrate meaningful moments while honoring the land that nourishes our community. Bookings are now open! | | TOGETHER, WE MAKE A DIFFERENCE! | | Our community's support is what keeps Pitney Meadows growing. Your donations allow us to keep sowing the seeds of community, agriculture, education, and food for all in our region well into the future. Thank you. | | HOW ELSE CAN I GET INVOLVED WITH THE FARM? | | There are so many ways to get involved! You can volunteer, join a program or event (and invite your friends!), or become a CSA member. Visit the Farm to walk the trails, shop at our Farm Stand, or follow us on social media to stay connected. Another meaningful way to show your support is by sharing the Farm with your friends and community. Every little action makes a big difference! | | | | |
