“Work for a Nonprofit – Make a Difference!”

We have heard from so many of you about the challenges of recruiting and retaining quality staff in the nonprofit sector. This year, the Not-for-profit News and Job Board will work intentionally to spread the benefits and rewarding experiences of working in the nonprofit career space.

Our new Director of Community and Content, Chelsea Ohlemiller, is hard at work increasing our community engagement and outreach, as well as our social media presence. She will be collaborating with nonprofit organizations to promote their brand, attract passionate and qualified employees, and advocate for the needs in the nonprofit community.

Job ads on our site will receive more strategic visibility than ever before, with the goal of attracting job seekers to the meaningful career opportunities available. For over twenty years, Charitable Advisors has been the host of the Central Indiana Nonprofit Job Board – the 'go-to' site connecting job seekers and employers in the nonprofit sector. We have helped fill more than 10,000 job openings.

Job ads start at $245. Click to place your job ad or get more information.

Emotional Intelligence:

Your way to employee retention

Feb. 7 at Noon

Emotional intelligence (EQ) is responsible for 58% of our job performance, yet we fail to recognize its importance in employee retention. We know that employees don’t leave organizations per se but exit because of their manager. Join Jeremy York as he shares about the importance of emotional intelligence in the workplace, strategies to grow emotional intelligence, and the impact of EQ on your people.

We want to recognize board leaders

For most board members, board leadership roles come with a commitment and investment of time and resources to support a cause they care about. However, for the individual who steps up to serve as board president or chair, the role comes with the assumption of overall responsibility for the nonprofit and guiding the organization’s path forward.

As we continue to share news of board leaders who have taken the helm, we encourage you to recognize and thank these individuals for tackling the role, because as a community member, you recognize the value of his or her investment to help keep the sector strong.

If you want to announce your organization’s new board leader, please send name, position, and a headshot HERE.

We are open to other ways we can support and recognize board leaders. Send us your thoughts or tell us a story about a board leader who has made a difference in your organization. Share your ideas with Bryan Orander, president.
