A new & improved way to browse puzzles
Breaking puzzle news! Now you can browse our growing collection of jigsaw puzzles for adults and kids by puzzle box cover image via our catalog page. Just go to nkcpl.org > Catalog tab > Puzzles (or just click here). There, you can browse by piece-count and then cover image. Handy, right? You can place any of these puzzles on hold just like you would a book, and pick them up via Curbside. And bonus! We've got lots of new puzzles on-shelf at the moment, thanks to a recent revamping of this collection. So there's a lot to explore for 'puzzling' adults and kiddos! :) Have questions or feedback on this browsing experience? Do let us know!

NKCPL earns top rating in Journal's 2020 Index
NKCPL has earned 5 stars, a top rating, in Library Journal's 2020 Index of Library Service and Star Library Ratings. This is the 10th year in a row that the Library has earned a star ranking, and NKCPL is one of only seven libraries in Missouri to earn a ranking this year. For more on this year's rankings, which are based on FY 2018 data, go here.
Thank you, NKCPL community, for allowing us to serve you. Your presence and patronage (both online and Curbside throughout the last several months) continues to make NKCPL a vibrant place, and we're grateful to and for you!

Be your own book detective with Novelist Plus
Let's face it: Sometimes it takes a little sleuthing to find your next great read. Why not let Novelist help? Novelist is a Library service that lets you plug in your favorites (authors, titles, genres, etc.) to get reading suggestions based on those criteria. You can even search for books by limiters like mood and style: sweeping and dramatic, say, or bittersweet and compelling. In addition to canny book recommendations, Novelist offers reviews, articles, lists, and more.

Great news! Overdrive has magazines--like Make it Home, shown left, which showcases tons of great ideas for the creatively inclined (or for those made crafty by months in quarantine, perhaps!!).
Get there via your apps (Overdrive and/or Libby), or via our site: nkcpl.org > Missouri Libraries 2 Go. With more than 1,300 magazines to browse across a variety of interests, there's a lot to explore!
And lastly, don't forget about Curbside Crafts!
Feeling crafty? We've got fun and easy kits for littles, available by request, plus a number of kits and activities for older kiddos and/or adults. Projects change often, and are available while supplies last. Call for info or to reserve a kit or kits. Happy crafting this month!
