FROM THE HEADMASTER

February, although short, was a joyful month!

CAREER DAY FEBRUARY 9TH

22 professionals representing a variety of professions: fire fighter, bank teller, real estate broker, a law student, leaders in non- profit management, in human resources and in digital marketing came to speak. Every student in the school had an opportunity to visit four distinct groupings of professionals, each with a combination of professions. The students were interested and asked a wide range of questions, many focusing on the journey each professional took to get to where they are now.

THE BASKETBALL TEAMS

We're thrilled to announce the success of our inaugural basketball teams! The girls team had a great first season led by the dynamic efforts of 9th Grade Spanish teacher Francisco De La Rosa, alongside the invaluable assistance of Darla Castaño, a key member of the College team, and Nefe George, our dedicated School Resource Officer.

Our boys basketball team, in its inaugural year, has achieved a remarkable feat by clinching a spot in the playoffs. Congratulations to both teams for their outstanding accomplishments!

Continuing with the focus on College and Careers, so important to all in this school,

on February 28th, 7 MMA Alumni came to the school to present a panel to the 9th grade class entitled Your Post Secondary Plan. These Alumni came to show the 9th graders some perspective on the importance of getting good grades now and on working on the skills that they have found necessary in the world after high school.
