The Baker-Polito Administration awarded $11.6 million in grants to Massachusetts cities and towns through the Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness Program to identify climate hazards, develop strategies to improve resilience, and implement priority actions to adapt to climate change . Trillium Therapeutics Inc. in Cambridge secured $117 million to help move its two main drug candidates through the last round of Phase 1 testing this year and into Phase 2 tests against acute myeloid leukemia, T-cell lymphomas, and multiple myeloma.  Read more here .
After securing $42 million , Boston -based health IT company Kyruus plans to grow by nearly 60% and broaden its physician scheduling platform. The 170-person company is already working with 600 hospitals around the country to access doctor appointment calendars. Read more here .
UMass Dartmouth secured its largest grant, with $4.5 million from the Navy which will go toward research projects with the Naval Undersea Warfare Center and higher education institutions. Read more here .
AI-enabled, permissions-based platform for marketing teams startup, Plannuh , based in Boston , secured $4 million which will allow the company to hire 5-10 employees in technical roles, customer support, marketing, and sales this year. Read more here .

Iora Health , based in Boston , secured $126 million . The company's model is to open up primary care centers for the Medicare population, especially in retail environments. Iora Health's main focus is hiring on the care teams, but it is also hiring significantly in sales and marketing, technology, and human resources. Read more here .
Since securing $45 million , staffing software firm IntelyCare Inc. in Quincy will be adding up to 60 new employees . The company's softwar e puts nurses and nursing assistants in touch with healthcare facilities that are looking to fill shifts. Read more here .

Veloxint , a Framingham -based startup whose technology combines proprietary alloy and process design approaches to produce nano-enabled alloys that are lighter, stronger, and more heat resistant than current industrial metals, secured $5 million to develop and scale next-generation nanocrystalline metal alloys.
