American Mah Jongg Lessons for Beginners

Wednesdays in February

6:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Come learn to play American Mah-Jongg! These lessons will be a two hour class once a week for six weeks.

YOU MUST BE ABLE TO ATTEND ALL 6 LESSONS.

Adults Sewing Workshop- Valentine's Day Pillow Cover

Thursday - February 5th

6:00 PM to 8:00 PM

You can join us to sew the valentine's day themed pillow covers in this session. Inserts will all be provided to take home.

You must enter a library card number to register, regardless of residence. Registrations without a valid library card number will be canceled.

ESL Classes

Fridays in February

11:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Adults, join us for a series of free English as a Second Language (ESL) classes. Classes are a mix of lesson instruction and conversation building. Each class will be a new topic. As this is a very popular program, please be sure you can attend the session before registering.

Monday - February 9th

2:00 PM to 3:00 PM

For the month of February we'll be discussing the thriller, The Boyfriend by Freida McFadden. Join us for a great discussion!

Adult Craft: Canvas Painting

Thursday - February 12th

6:00 PM to 7:30 PM

Join us for a fun session led by Simple Creations. We'll be making a Bee Mine valentine's inspired painting!

Wallington patrons will have priority during the first week of registration, beginning January 22nd, 2026. Non-residents will be able to register beginning January 29th, 2026.

Adult Yoga

Thursday - February 19th

6:15 PM to 7:15 PM

Join us for an adult yoga class! Class is beginner and intermediate friendly. Modifications can always be made for poses to ensure safe movement for your body.

Bring a yoga mat, or a towel, and some water to stay hydrated.

Come to the library and test your vocabulary by playing Scrabble. Playing Scrabble can improve your memory, focus, and allows you to interact with others!

Enjoy cooking, chatting, and trying new recipes? Join us for Cook the Books! We'll meet once a month to try different recipes from a cookbook. This month's pick is Half Baked Harvest Quick & Cozy by Tieghan Gerard.

Pick up your cookbook today. Email your top 2 recipe choices you'd like to make to Risa at dangelo@wallington.bccls.org by February 12th. She will confirm with you which of the two recipes to make.

Winter Storytime

Tuesdays - February 3rd -

11:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Kids ages 0-6yrs can join us for a fun filled story time session with dance, music, and craft. They might even get a chance to play with bubbles on a few special summer Storytime sessions.

Wednesdays - Jan 21st, Jan 28th, Feb 4th, Feb 11th, Feb 18th, Feb 25th

4:15 PM to 5:15 PM

Girls between grades 3 -6th can come and discuss this book every week chapter wise on Wednesdays starting from Jan 21st to Feb 25th.To learn more about friendship, relations, emotions and respect through these discussions. Kids will be provided with snacks for all the session. And the kids who attend all the sessions will be provided with a gift card.

Kids can join this author talk book event during the week of Lunar new year. Author of the book Scroll (cute picture book) will read her book, teach kids calligraphy and do some fun activities with the kids.

Family Movie Night - Elemental(A Disney Pixar Creation)

Tuesday- February 24th

4:30 PM to 6:15 PM

Families can join us in the library to watch this beautiful heart touching new release in our library meeting room. Snacks will be provided!

Love should never be deemed as impossible, even when it's between two souls made out of fire and water. They may be polar opposites, but they'll sure make things work.
