February Recipe of the Month:
Brown Sugar Glazed Ham Balls
This recipe works great as an appetizer for parties and gatherings.
Meatball Ingredients:
1 lb. Louie's Ham, cubed
1 lb. Ground Pork
1 cup Milk
1 cup crushed cornflakes
1 large Egg, lightly beaten
1/4 cup Brown Sugar
1 tablespoon ground Mustard
1/2 teaspoon Salt
Glaze Ingredients:
1 cup Brown Sugar
1/4 cup Vinegar
1 tablespoon ground Mustard
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Use food processor to make ham finely-chopped. Combine with other meatball ingredients and mix together. Shape into 1 inch balls, place them in a single layer on greased baking pans.
To make glaze, cook and stir all ingredients in a small saucepan over medium heat until the sugar is dissolved.
Spoon the glaze over the ham balls. Bake until ham balls are beginning to brown and are cooked to 160 degrees (30-35 minutes).
Serve warm, enjoy!
