February/March Newsletter

Spring is almost here!! Again, we thank you all for working with us to keep our dancers and staff safe throughout the pandemic. After much discussion with staff and medical personnel, we will be going to mask optional upon return to the studio. We will continue to watch and if community numbers rise we will re-evaluate. If your dancer is sick please do not send them into the studio. Our waiting room will remain closed at this time. Our goal is to keep all safe in a reasonable manner.

Please be watching for any updates. 

Our online calendar had TBA for April break. This will be April 25-May 1. Friday classes, we will be holding snow day makeup classes that day.

We plan on offering several photo slot options to accommodate schedules. Some spring break options, as well as June options. More info to come as soon as possible!

Costumes are coming in daily. We are going to start getting those that have arrived ready to distribute to all of you. When your dancer’s costume is ready we will send an email to your dancer’s class and provided your account is up to date will send it home with you. 

Some costumes will be arriving much closer to our show date. It has been an interesting season with costumes due to the supply chain issue being seen in every industry. All costumes were ordered prior to November 15, however, each week we have had to change some costume styles because we will not receive originals on time. With all of this we ask for your patience. We will make sure everyone has a costume, and a photo date opportunity to accommodate it!

Costume balances will be billed this week. Those who have been with us will note some balances may be higher than typical. Unfortunately all industries have seen increases

We recently mailed recital show assignments. If you did not receive that as of yet, the assignments can be found in our online recital center. Also listed here is the day and time of your dancer’s dress rehearsal at Pinkerton. Access our recital center here!

We have also now posted the dress rehearsal schedule for May 19 and 20. Dancers must attend the dress rehearsal. Please be sure to make arrangements now.

Note: some classes in tumble production need to be at both. So, please double check-it is the upper levels.

Our recital will be held at the Stockbridge Theater at Pinkerton on May 21 and 22. The shows on May 21 will be under an hour long, similar to our outdoor shows the past two years. Because of these shortened shows it may be that your dancers are in separate shows. 

As mentioned below, your dancer will receive a recital t-shirt that has the recital logo as well as all dancers on the back. Please fill out this google form so that we order your dancer the correct size. We must have your size choice by April 1

Our summer offerings are now available on our website.  Classes and camps may fill so be sure to register early!

Recital Fee and tickets

We once again will be utilizing a “Recital Fee”. For those who are unfamiliar with recitals, the fee as well as ticket sales cover the cost of facility rental, lighting, sound, custodians and more. This fee will include 4 tickets, recital t-shirt, and recital video link. The cost will be $120 per family and an additional $15 per additional child (so, if two dancers $135). Families will then be able to purchase up to 4 additional tickets per show (for a total of 8 seats). These numbers are as of today, due to Covid restrictions, Pinkerton is only allowing us to utilize ⅔ of the theater seats. If they change that rule in the upcoming weeks we will increase the amount of seats that you can purchase. Additional ticket cost will be $15 per seat. All those over 2 years old will need a seat. 

After much thought, we have decided that seating will be open. Therefore, you will not choose seats. The doors will open 40 minutes prior to each show.

Beginning May 9 we will be ready to distribute your tickets that come with your recital fee and you can purchase any additional as well. We are also hoping to distribute recital t-shirts at this time as well.
